Due to extremely difficult financial difficulties I was forced to go through a short sale to sell my house. What proved to be a very arduous process Mark’s expertise, determination, negotiation skills and compassion (he kept me from becoming “unhinged” on more than one occasion) resulted in a successful outcome as he managed an exceptionally recalcitrant mortgage servicer and unrealistic buyer expectations. When I decided to sell my large house and buy a smaller one, I hired Mark Duke due to his ability to sell another house in my neighborhood in this bad housing market. I am very glad that I had him on my side throughout this ordeal. He was very patient with my questions and concerns. He was very helpful with providing references I needed for other services like home inspector, septic repair, real estate attorney, etc. When looking at houses, he was very knowledgeable about the area and about details of the house (type of furnace, asbestos removal, etc). He was always there when I needed him, and during the final days of the sale/purchase I often needed his advice and help. When the buyers realtor fell short on helping her client, Mark Duke often helped out. When the buyers real estate attorney caused several delays with the sale closing, which caused delays with the purchase of my next home, Mark Duke helped work things out with the seller of my next home to make my move much easier. I highly recommend him to anyone selling or buying a home, and I will definitely go back to him if I move again.

When we decided to list our house as a short-sale we called Mark Duke, a decision we made based on his reviews. We could not have made a better choice!! Mark facilitated the entire process, going above and beyond his duties. He was knowledgable, informative, professional, respectful, generous with sound advice, and experienced. Our situation was unique in that we experienced many unforeseen and tricky obstacles, but Mark knew how to handle them with confidence, and saw our house sale through to the end, where most people would have given up. Mark was determined to help us sell our house, and I strongly believe we would not have fared so well had we been working with anyone besides Mark Duke.

Showed home in 2014 in Mansfield Township, NJ.

Saw a home in Mansfield Twp. NJ. My realtor from out of town contacted Mr. Duke and we toured a historic home and property with him. He was extremely well informed and unstrained recollecting the house legacy, which is vital for a historic home buyer. Were it not for the largess of the home sq ft it would have been a good fit. But we were encouraged to keep trying in Warren County.

Mark Had excellent local knowledge and did not waste our(my wife and I) time showing us a bunch of properties that didn't fit our needs. He helped negotiate our buying price expertly. I am very impressed by Mark and would send any of my friends to him.

Listed, but didn't sell my home in 2013 in Washington, Harmony Township, NJ 07882.

We chose to list our house with Mark after meeting with him and a few other realtors. We felt a local realtor such as Mark would be beneficial for selling our home as he would be an expert in the area and highlighting its benefits. We asked him his opinion on our home and what we could do (repaint, redecorate, declutter, etc...) and were told that none of that was necessary. Yay for us (we thought).

Our home was listed for about 3 months before we decided to pull the listing, and Mark was unable to personally bring anyone to our home. We were told that the high property taxes were to blame for him not being able to bring people to our home. This was counter to our thought that Mark would be perfect for us due to his knowledge of the area as he should have been able to highlight what that tax money offered in return. We also found it difficult to get feedback from Mark regarding viewings that other realtors set up at our home. Finally, there were no open houses given of our home, because he thought they only attracted nosy neighbors who wanted to look inside. We went along with that as first time home sellers, but it also limited his access to new home buyers and (as our new realtor mentioned) neighbors might not look at an available house for themselves, but they can refer it to friends who they'd like to live closer to...

Unfortunately we were displeased with his efforts to sell our house, as they seemed to stop after placing the listing online at various websites. I would not recommend Mark to sellers, and would also note that this is the very first time I've every written a negative review of anything or anybody (I'm not generally a complainer).

This review is slander. Dana Lorcheim initially called to "interview" me and other Realtors since it was her first time selling a home.Dana Lorcheim told me that I was the only Realtor who would market her home the way she wanted it done.Her requirements were very specific 1) no open houses 2) I must schedule all showings,she did not want to talk to other Realtors. I took photos 3 different times due to repairs and cleaning.When I wanted to show the home,I was told that she did not want the home shown for a week. After 8 weeks and 6 showings, Dana told me that they no longer wanted to sell their home.There was no "pulling of the listing" as she states .There was never a strained or cross conversation between us.I provided an enhanced level of service and almost all communication on appointments and feedback with Dana was a result of me contacting her.6 months after Dana Lorcheim took her home off the market she posted this factually false review. Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $125K in Belvidere, NJ.

Mark Duke helped me acquire a home in late 2012. The home was a short sale transaction. Like a lot of people, I had no experience dealing with this process. Mark is an absolute expert in the process. Dealing with the banks and other parties involved is a very challenging exercise. I was able to purchase the home within a few months of starting the process thanks to Mark. Mark is an "A" player in the world of real estate and especially short sales. Overall great experience.

Mark was very helpful right from the start. He took the time to explain in detail his approach to getting our house listed, pricing the house properly, and finding the right buyer. He was very helpful in recommending service people like our home inspector, septic inspector, suveyor, etc. Mark was always quick to respond to our phone calls or emails.
