    Bought a home in 1996.
    I purchased a home on Marco Island with the help of Marc and Hans. I felt like I was being helped by friends. That was 6 1/2 years ago, and I still stop by to say hello to them!

    Bought a Condo home in 2011 for approximately $250K in Naples, FL.
    Hans Haedelt helped us find our new home in Florida, he was very knowledgeable and did an amazing job finding us the right home. His extensive knowledge of the entire Florida Real Estate market, HOAs, taxes, home owner insurance, inspections, warranties and last but not least, neighborhoods made it so much easier to actually make a final decision for exactly where to settle down. Now, eight month after the transaction, we know we are in the right neighborhood and purchased our new home for the right price. We could not have done this without Hans and we are very grateful.     Marco Scola - Marco was an independent sales associate with IBR under the previous owner. Scola along with Haedelt, also an independent sales associate with IBR, decided to purchase the brokerage in an effort to offer all the services to its agents that were not available under the previous owner. Scola and Haedelt quite simply, wanted to make IBR a better place and one of the premier real estate brokerages in southwest Florida.



    Marco Scola was a part time resident on Marco Island since 1998. In 2002, his wife Rosa and him decided to move to Marco Island permanently. Honestly, it was the best decision they have ever made. Soon after moving here, they both became licensed real estate sales agents. Who doesn't want to live and work in paradise?

    The IBR sales team strives to give you the best real estate advice without compromise. We ask what your needs are, rather than guess. We look for the best property for you whether it's available now or sometime in the future. We will keep you in mind for as long as you'd like. We are aggressive in our sales techniques to act in your best interest, but never overbearing. That's not our goal. We will treat you the way we wanted to be treated when we bought our own property."

    One of Marco's favorite hobbies is flying. He earned his private pilot license and quickly upgraded to a commercial pilot license with an instrument rating. He now flies investors and other real estate clients around the area to see Marco Island from the air.

    From the air, you can see how Marco Island is truly Florida's best-kept secret. He also volunteers for Angel Flight by donating his time and aircraft flying hospital patients to urgent operations around the state that they otherwise couldn't afford to do.



    Hans Haedelt - Although initially German by Nationality(Hans became an American citizen at the beginning of 2011), Hans was born in West Africa (Conakry, Guinea), and raised around the world. New York was the city that captivated him and he called home for many years, while working his way up the ladder in the music business.
    After retiring from a successful career with various record companies, Hans moved his family to South West Florida in 2004. Marco Island seemed like a place where his young children would be safe from harm, and benefit from an excellent public school system.
    After partnering with Marco Scola as an independent sales team under the previous owner, Hans and Marco decided to purchase the brokerage, in order to make it a better, stronger, and more competitive company, and a better and more functional environment for the hundreds of agents now working with the company throughout South Florida. When not working or chasing after his kids, Hans enjoys Scuba Diving and flying in the co-pilot seat of Marco's private plane.
    In addition, Hans is very passionate about offshore boating, and is on the board of directors for a fantastic charity called Fort Myers Offshore, Inc. Ft. Myers Offshore, Inc. is Charity whose membership consists of a group of offshore boating enthusiasts in Southwest Florida, who are dedicated to raising funds each year to help worthy high school graduates continue their education at institutions of higher learning, including colleges and universities.

    Company - IBR Takes on New Ownership and Expands.

    Hans Haedelt and Marco Scola were both agents working for Independent Brokers Realty on Marco Island for several years and then received the opportunity to purchase the company. On December 1, 2005, Scola & Haedelt took over ownership of Independent Brokers Realty with the intention to expand the business to other locations throughout Florida and make it a better place to work. Scola and Haedelt simply made IBR a better place to work which made it a more viable business for its clients. In 2009, IBR hired its 200th agent and we are continuing to grow.
