It takes a lot of detail, skills, timing, and luck to sell a home. While we could not control many factors one thing we could select to maximize the best outcome was a realtor. We used referrals, reviews online, word of mouth, interviews, and resources online to select 3 people to interview. In the end we chose Mark and have no regrets. Whether I am buying or selling i would recommend Mark. He's a straight shooter. He isn't pushy or overly sale-sy using hackneyed jargon. I had to trust he turns on his sales pitch when needed but tones it down when not. I felt today's buyers are not into the hard sell. Today's buyers come armed with data, information, and get annoyed with a salesperson. After much deliberation, we decided to go with Mark because my gut said he could do it all. In order for a sale to happen, a lot is involved from paperwork to respecting emotions to logistics of cleaning/staging/un- staging/ painting/scheduling. Any hiccup in the process can slow things down for all parties involved. I found the process to be streamlined, painless, and as pleasant as a move/sale could be.

I didn't want that kind of person getting commission on our asset that we care about. Ultimately you can't choose your buyer, the market, or the timing but this one realtor is who will be there to represent your property and present your home to others. We felt most comfortable with leaving keys to him and letting him do the rest. Mark knows the SF soma area, was responsive even when I was asking questions, personable, not pushy, and professional. You also need a realtor that works and plays well w others in the real estate community. We felt he partnered well w his community, his clients and buyer's agents. That is key to a smooth close.… MoreLess
