Martin was an easy individual to work with. He's very knowledgeable about each prospective area and provided valuable pros/cons insight of each property. Martin was able to make our house hunting process less painful in this sellers' market and follow-up continuously until the closing.
Really smart guy, extremely professional and responsive realtor. Martin helped us buy our first house and supported us through a very competitive market. Never pressured us into or out of buying a house but provided valuable input based on his knowledge and let us make our own decision. I can recall at least 3 instances where other realtors complimented Martin's thoroughness. He also helped us close our loan on time despite being on a vacation at the time. If you want a trusted advisor in your home buying process, go with Martin.
My husband and I are first time buyers. We are glad we got to know Martin through our friends. We are very impressed with his work attitude, experience and personality. We are very happy with the house that he helped us with.
Martin really put his heart to get to know our needs. He guided us throughout the entire process, such as getting familiar with potential buying neighborhoods, reading disclosures, inspecting properties, communicating with sellers, and working with lenders/title company, even finding contractors after the transaction. He tried his best to ensure we understand the every detail and make correct decisions that we would not regret at every step. He is a very hard working realtor, always very patient and responsive to our all sorts of questions and requests.
Another reason we trust Martin is because of his extensive experience in the real estate business. He is very familiar with the pros and cons of different neighborhoods in the south bay, the statistics of different markets, and the reconstruction/remodeling cost of different parts in a house, which gave us a very clear picture on the appreciation value and the total cost that we need to spend on the house we were interested in. He is also very good at the transaction process. He coordinated different parties (lender/title/sellers/buyers) very well and ensured the transaction met the timeline. He also has a very good network of service providers. He helped us find very good contractors to improve our home after closing.
Same as most buyers, our goal was to buy the most satisfying house that within our budget. Martin was able to think from our side. He always carefully screened the disclosures himself and pointed our possible concerns. He never pushed us to buy some house with serious defects. He is also against overbidding. He would honestly tell us a reasonable offered price range from his gut feel.
In the San Francisco bay area, this super-hot housing market, lots of realtors are spoiled and short in offering quality services. Martin was the 3rd agent we worked with and we found him a very professional and trustworthy realtor. We truly enjoyed working with him in our first home purchase.
My fiance and I are both first time home buyers, so to be honest we didn't know much, if anything on buying a new house. We knew that we both needed to be pre-approved by a bank for a mortgage but that was basically it. We were very fortunate to find Martin to be our real estate agent.
Martin, sat down with us to talk about what we were both looking for in a new home and what our budget was like. He quickly set me up on an auto-notification that allows me to know when houses that fit my interest became available on the market. He took the initiative and set us up to get pre-approved by a bank in case we saw something we liked already on the market. Overall, everything was quite easy up to this point.
Martin was always easy to reach and responsive to any calls or emails. He was willing to show us all houses we were interested in despite that they might be in opposite direction of the county. We went on a few open houses until we found what we thought to be THE house.
Martin was very knowledgable and sat down with us to write up our first offer. He went through the paperwork step by step and had previously sent us all the HOA, disclosure and paperwork about the property. He even went out of his way to get in contact with the agent that was selling the house to get all the necessary information before suggesting to us what our offer price should be. We didn't get THE house but we quickly found another one.
The second time we place an offer we did get what we are now calling OUR HOME. Martin again helped us through escrow and getting out all the required documents requested by the bank to get the mortgage loan. He came along when it was time to sign for the house at the Escrow office. He basically held our hand through the entire process and told us what each step was going to be like. He even recommended an insurance company for us to contact when we were looking to buy our HO6 insurance.
Now that I have the house, Martin continues to be helpful. He really goes beyond what a realtor should be doing. He even suggested a painter and a contractor to help us, so we could get things done and move into our house sooner.
Even after helping us buy the house, he remains responsive to all my questions in regards to my HOA payments, mortgage payments, taxes, HO6 insurance, etc.
Overall, Martin definitely made my fiance and me more knowledgeable about the process in buying a house. He made it easy and definitely stress free. I highly recommend Martin to anyone that wants a quick, hassle free time buying or even selling their home. I will be keeping in contact with him, in case I decided to sell or by a new home in the future.
I found Martin by surfing the internet. I was helping my daughter ( a new college graduate) to buy a condo in bay area. Martin is the best realtor I have ever met (actually I have not met him in person yet). He absolutely deserves my 5 star rating on every category this web site lists. There is actually more, when processing the loan, the lender found that my daughter's identity was stolen. It is Martin who urged us to be calm and direct us to the right channel to deal with the issue. And with his help, we took care of the problem. I can't thank him enough! I highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in buying a house/condo in the bay area.
As a first time home buyer, we used to have lots of questions. Martin always answered our questions very patiently and guided us through the process of finding a house, putting in an offer and closing. He was able to develop a good rapport with seller agents and get useful information for putting in competitive bids. He never pushed us for a decision and at the same time he always provided needed information in a timely manner.
Martin also has a good network of contractors if you need any regular repairs or paint related work in your new house. We found a fixer upper and wanted to check with a contractor on possible renovation cost before buying the house. Martin was able to bring a contractor on-site on very short notice and that helped us get our desired house at a good price.
Bought a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $575K in North Valley, San Jose, CA.
We actually found Martin on Zillow. It was a great experience working with him. He is very informative and open about the process. As first home buyers, we are amazed that we got our home at the very first offer we made with his help. We gave him our highest recommendation.
Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $725K in West San Jose, San Jose, CA.
We were first-time home buyers and our experience purchasing our house with Martin was very good.
We were fortunate to meet Martin randomly while inquiring information about a house.
Martin took the time to explain the entire house-buying process and understand our needs and budget early on.
We visited many houses together. Even though Martin was working with other clients, we always felt that he gave us undivided attention, promptly replying emails, and patiently visiting houses with us while we were learning our own house needs. As first-time buyers, it was very helpful to get guidance and help on house searching, making offers, escrow, and inspections.
Besides being knowledgeable about the South bay and housing market, Martin is also well connected with contractors. We had good recommendation from Martin for changing carpets, rekeying doors, and painting.
I get very professional and patient service from Martin. He works very organized and comprehensive which impress most. Also, he is a very nice, humoured and friendly man. He gives me much helpful suggestion during the searching house and in the deal. Thanks Martin and I strongly recommend Martin as your agent.
As a first time home buyer, I had little knowledge around the process. Martin was extremely familiar with the process including details around all the Disclosure packets, putting in an offer, and understanding the market trends. Moreover, he was patient throughout the 7 month long process and supportive of every decision. I'd highly recommend Martin as a realtor.
