I recently just bought my first home here in Saint Louis, MO. Being completely new to the house hunting scene, I knew I was going to need someone to be not only skilled in real estate, but also patient with newcomer like me. Derek Quelette, an associate of Mary Krummenacher, couldn't have been a more perfect match. He covered all the fundamental qualities of friendliness, punctuality, knowledge of processes, etc. What really impressed me was his ability to help me expand my search and still know a great deal about the area. I looked from Affton to Pacific to Saint Charles until we finally found my dream home in Creve Couer. We searched for a number a months and each time he was prompt at the home and ready to provide a breakdown of both the home and area we were in. Derek knew what features to look for in a home, both the good and the bad. One of the most important qualities a realtor can have is honesty. If Derek felt the house was a risk, he would disclose that that prior to driving out there. He could point out the risk factors to consider whether it be financially with large repairs or just potential resale value in the future. In the end, I got the home I wanted for $11,000 below list price in addition to closing costs being covered. I can't express how grateful I am to Derek and his team for a wonderful home buying experience. Buying your first home can be a very overwhelming process. With the right realtor though, it can be a great adventure that becomes a lifelong memory. Thanks Derek!
