Mimi entered the real estate business in Nevada County in 1984.  In 1992 she founded ERA Cornerstone Realty Group at 101 Boulder Street In Nevada City.  She built the company to 4 offices and 60 plus agents, with her husband Phil Ruble.  She is consistently a top producer and community advocate.  A fifth generation Nevada Coutny native, Mimi has excelled in all arenas of real estate and is one of the most competent brokers in the area.  In 2006 Mimi sold the company to Select Properties, joining forces with 30 plus other real estate offices and 700 agents.  Mimi now dedicates her self to full time real estate sales and has built the strongest real estate team in the county with Tammy, her transaction coordinator, Holli, her buyer's agent and Jodanna, her marketing coordinator.  Mimi is in the top 25 real estate agents in the country for ERA Franchises, and also a National Leadership Team Award Winner, both for 2011.   She was the top producer in Nevada County for 2011.  She can be reached at mimi@mimisimmons.com or 530-265-7940.

      Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $600K in Nevada City, CA.
      I would highly recommend Mimi Simmons & Team ERA Cornerstone Realty to anyone selling or buying a home. Her knowledge of the Nevada County Real Estate market makes her an outstanding choice.       Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $350K in Nevada City, CA.
      My mother had recently passed away in Nevada City leaving the family her home to sale. Not being from the area I logged onto Zillow.com. I started the process by reading the reviews of the local agents. Based on the reviews I had come across three agents that I wanted to meet in person. One of the agents was Mimi Simmons ERA Cornerstone. Mimi was on time, very professional, suggested a local marketing plan on how to sale the home, and provided all the necessary local statistics of the area. It is one skill to be an agent to buy a home, however it takes a lot of skill and coaching from an agent to sell a home. Mimi sold my family on the agent team concept. Everything Mimi said she would do she did. Mimi returned calls right away, answered every question, followed up on any open agenda items. Because Mimi and her team were so prepared we ended up selling the home on the first weekend, three offers and the best news 20k over the asking price. Mimi and her team were with us all the way through the close at title. Mimi even fought for us when the buyer requested a credit at the close of escrow for a faulty electrical panel. Mimi had her electrician check out the situation to find out that the panel was not in need of repair saving the family on a requested credit.

      Selling a home is stressful but selling a home that was your mother’s home and not being from the area can be really stressful. I never felt any stress working with Mimi or her colleagues. It turned out to be a wonderful experience.If I were to buy or sell a home in Nevada City I would choose Mimi

      Sold a Single Family home in 2013 in Grass Valley, CA.
      Poor attention to details, slow to respond to questions, did not make much effort to support seller's position in contract negotiations Similar comments from another random customer (buyer) with whom I met. Also similar poor feedback from local employee with whom I interacted. Be very prepared to be your own advocate and "bird dog" the details. The transaction coordinator was no better in transaction details or management.  MoreLess

      Every transaction has its own dynamic. The full cooperation, of all parties involved, in these transactions, result in successful closings. Aspects of this particular transaction were out of the agent's control, however I took the extra steps for my client, not only paying for his closing costs, I paid for a hotel room after close of escrow. My good reputation is second only to my highest goal of taking care of my clients.
