During her career, MJ built two successful real estate companies from the ground up. Her past experience includes contract-consulting for an offshore development corporation, as "acting representative", in identifying and assisting in the purchase negotiations of large, multi-million dollar recreational-use properties throughout California, Oregon, and Washington. MJ also negotiated the sale of a $5.7 million home that is one of the most expensive homes sold in Marin at nearly $3,200 per square foot.

Sold a home in 2011.

It’s refreshing to find a real estate agent who diligently works on your behalf rather than treating you as another transaction. MJ Roney is one of those rare experts. Add to that fact she also has decades of appraising experience, and you get a professional that has an edge when it comes to knowing what a home is worth—and how to get you the best deal. While the explosive growth of internet listing sites gives us more access to what’s out there, MJ has proven on both of my transactions with her that she can dig up gems that seem impossible to find. Sold a home in 2011.

MJ did an excellent job with both the sale of our home and the purchase of our new one. She is very skilled when it comes to negotiations and she was able to effectively get us what we needed to close the deal. Sold a Single Family home in 2008 in Mill Valley, CA.

Joanne is smart, clever and honest. She scheduled and attended several open houses for us, coordinating with the tenants and alleviating their concerns about timing and security. As a seller living a thousand miles away, I needed to know the listing, showing, negotiating and communicating was professional and seamless, and Joanne's particular skill in communicating provided us much welcomed relief. She assured us the second highest offer had a much better chance of closing without problems or delays, and she was right. Joanne even consulted with us dealing with recalcitrant tenants who demanded legally un-deserved compensations. She provided current local comps, market evaluations and trends and key insights to determine the home's value and asking price. November 2008 saw the beginning of slowing home sales and fewer offers over asking price, but she managed to negotiate a selling price higher than we expected. The buyer was also very pleased, so we're told.  More Less
