I dont disagree that it would end up being a high maintenance decision down the road. However I wouldnt think removal would be to big of a challenge. Woulndt power washing using a lower pressure with a "legal solvent" do the trick? Ive used solvents to strip dark finish off of fences so they could have more of a natural clear coat finish applied. Its turned out great for me.

The Zestimate is based on other homes that have recently sold in the area. It obviously isnt taking the current condition of this paticular property into account.

Its definetly a great time to be conscious of that decision. Take into account that even if you rent now at a loss you will be able to adjust your income when you file taxes for those losses. Also, as long as you have lived in it for the last two years you will be able to sell it without paying captital gains tax during the next three years, considering it does turn into a profit at closing.
