Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $900K in Redmond, WA.
John was our buyers agent when we were shopping for our first home. He was excellent, 5 out of 5 stars (I'd give him ten if they would let me!). Throughout the whole process John with instrumental, professional, available, accommodating, knowledgable and enjoyable to be around. His construction background was extremely helpful in evaluating the condition of the homes we saw and in understanding what the time and cost of fixing or upgrading things might be. Not only was John extremely professional (we always felt he had our best interests at heart), but he always went the extra mile. He made himself available at all times and answered all my numerous emails and calls quickly and thoroughly. He set-up appointments for us to meet the neighbors, ask questions to the title officer, all inspections, etc, etc and came along to all these meetings to help out in any way. This was extremely helpful for us as this was our first time through this whole process. He was also extremely patient. We were very picky shoppers that definitely weren't willing to pay "sticker price" for our home; we wanted to get a great deal, especially given the economic climate. In addition to regular bids, we also bid on short sale homes, foreclosures and bank owned properties and he was instrumental in helping guide us through this difficult and time consuming process. His extensive knowledge in real estate contracts and negotiation strategy allowed us to make competitive and attractive offers even if our bid price was much lower than asking. Helped me rent a home.
John Stewart was the only real estate agent we contacted who was willing to help us find a rental property when we moved to Seattle from Virginia. He was consistently helpful, friendly, and honest.
