Depending on what part of the country you live in will affect the optimal time to sell. Here in Ohio and the eastern United States we typically have 2 selling seasons. Listing a home that is prepared for the market in April is an excellent time to get your home maximum exposure with less competition. The second season is early fall. Family vacations and summertime activities have wound down and kids are back in school. A lenghty fall selling season can extend to near the holidays. One more thing to remember, is that a buyer in the winter is generally considered to by a more serious buyer and there is less competition as many sellers don't like to market their homes for sale during the winter months.Hope this helps!
