These buyers can't go up to $1.3M, but that's a pretty good price for new construction right now. If you need an agent, let me know. http://www.nwListingAgent.com
You're right about that Geordy--I've seen homes where a wonderful 2 car garage opens to reveal a makeshift bedroom or worse--You know those houses where the place where the garage should be is just a driveway leading to paneling and a couple of windows? In most cases (I never say never) this is a terrible idea and just drops the value of the house immensely.
I don't know of any sites that you can do this on. Contact a local realtor and see if they can do an archived listing search on your MLS, or if the tax records include archived sales prices. If you can find out what someone paid for your house (or a good comp) around 2001, this might be something to work with.
Well, the MLS supplies several categories that would apply. For marketing purposes it might be up to the person doing the marketing. For instance, it might be considered "two story with basement" or "tri-level" among others. I'm sure there's an actual definition somewhere but what I've seen in practice is all over the map.
It's not listed yet as far as I can tell, but I will watch for it.
