Helping clients find the right property has been the goal for my entire professional career. Real estate is an important investment and finding the right property is a great way to enjoy Tahoe. My success is measured by your satisfaction during ownership and then helping you recognize your investment return when it comes time to finally sell.
I offer clients over 30 years of experience, the utmost of professional integrity, extensive knowledge of construction details, and personal insights into the different areas and nuances of enjoying this wonderful Tahoe environment. Who am I? In 1983, I began my career in Tahoe area real estate after working as a foreman of a construction crew during the summer months and ski patrolling professionally at Squaw Valley through the winters.

Although successfully serving clients has been the primary focus, I have found great satisfaction, personally and professionally, by volunteering for our real estate community for many years. I was elected and served as President of the Tahoe Sierra Board of Realtors (TSBoR) in 1998, the following year I was recognized and presented with the Realtor of the Year award. Since 2000 I have served continuously as chairman of the Legislative and Governmental Relations committee for the TSBoR, and concurrently I have represented TSBoR as a state Director to the California Association of Realtors (CAR).  My role at CAR has included numerous committee and task force appointments through the years as well as serving as the Chairperson of Region 3 in 2008 and Chair of the Land Use and Environmental Committee in 2013.  I am currently appointed as the Region 3 liaison on the Strategic Planning and Finance Committee.

I have lived in Tahoe since graduating from Hobart College with a BA degree in Economics in 1976.  Married my wonderful wife Linda in 1985 and together we've raised our daughter and son, now 26 and 24 respectively, all the while enjoying the fabulous lifestyle afforded by living in this spectacular Tahoe environment.

Bought a Single Family home in 2002 for approximately $400K in Tahoe City, CA.

Peter is the most thorough, knowledgable, and professional Realtor I have known and or worked with in my 20 years in the business( I worked in the retail and wholesale mortgage business with World Savings, Citibank, and CIT and have been involved in over 1,000 real estate transactions with hundreds of Realtors on the lending side as well as buying and selling from my personal investment portfolio) So, when it came time to buy a Tahoe home, I was very careful about selecting a Realtor. Being familiar with Tahoe and having lived there for several seasons, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted in a Tahoe home for both Winter and Summer seasons and I had prepared a two page single spaced list of my needs. The first two agents I spoke with saw the list and emailed me a few listings to review. I am sure they thought I would be too demanding. Pete saw this as a challenge. He called me and went through my list with me and helped us prioritize my needs. His questions were thoughtful and precise and every one had the purpose of helping him and me understand my needs better. We went on one tour and he showed me six properties, three of which covered about 95% of what I was looking for. I made an offer and after several counter offers we made the deal. Throughout the process, his answers were thoughful and measured and precise. He managed the Selling (Listing) Agent very well. I am very pleased with my purchase and I have referred Peter two friends who are also very happy.

A few times in your life, your choices of buisness service providers truly make a HUGE difference in the quality of your experience. Choosing a Realtor is one of them. The barrier to entry to become a Realtor is very low, and many poor business people work part time in the industry.

If you are looking to buy a home in Tahoe. Choose Peter Morris. Your experience will be outstanding.

Bought a Single Family home in 2002 for approximately $350K in Truckee, CA.

Peter worked with a very difficult seller in as a buyer/seller agent. He we forthright on all elements of the sale and did the best I could expect from an agent. He had obvious experiance of the area and business practices. Peter is the only agent that I think would have been able to work with the difficult seller. I would recommend Peter to anyone looking to buy or sell property in the Tahoe/Truckee area.  More Less
