Thanks SO MUCH for your reply, I really appreciate it. We live in a 'mixed' neighborhood now too, homes from $525,000 to $1.5 mil. My husband will be commuting to Westchester, so Killingworth is a furthest east we'd go. I have family in Old Saybrook and in Old Lyme. We've seen a few homes on Dorset Lane, but it's just too secluded. I'd like the kids to have a few more streets to roam and ride bikes to see friends, etc. I guess Killingworth has the newer home appeal, and Madison has the town beaches, etc. It's a tough decision! The taxes in Killingworth are worse :o( Oh well, there's always a trade-off.I hope you have great luck selling your home! And thanks again for your response!!
Thanks for your response. We've been shopping in Madison for almost a year. Our house is going to contract, so we're almost ready for a decision. I see what you're saying about your street (we looked there) but unfortunately I'd be wary of making such a pricey investment on a half and half street. Your home is over our budget, seeing that we're not getting what we were hoping for since the market has slowed. Your taxes are pretty high too, so the combo is too high for us. Good luck to you selling it, I hope you get what you want!If you don't mind my asking, why are you selling? We're moving there from out of state, but we're considering Killingworth too. Any advice or opinions would be much appreciated! We have 4 kids :o)
LOVE your house!
