Rick Bean has been the best real estate agent I've ever had. I've purchased several homes in several states, and nobody has gone out of their way to be as valuable an asset as Rick has. He knows about neighborhoods, he knows about the market, and most importantly, he really goes out of his way to make sure you have a good experience. He knows what sort of house you want, but he also has a special intuition to also know exactly what sort of house you need. He's the real deal.

I bought my house from across the country, which can be a really stressful experience, but Rick made it easy. Rick was available throughout the process to meet with developers, agents, inspectors, and assessors again and again for me until we got the deal done. After that, he still made himself available to check up on my investment and meet with professionals as they needed access to the property. Now that the deal is closed, and Rick's obligation is over, he is still going out of his way to help me out, meeting with contractors on site while I prepare my move 2000 miles away. It's not something any agent is required to do, and most of them wouldn't even consider it. I really appreciate all Rick is doing and has done throughout this purchase.

Quite frankly, as long as I am buying property in Portland metro, I will never use another real estate agent again. He is stellar and I am so happy that I've finally found someone that I can count on.

Bought a Condo home in 2012 in Mountain Park, Lake Oswego, OR.

I have had the honor of getting to know Rick on a personal level, as well as a professional level. I have the utmost respect and trust in him, not because I hold him as a close friend, but because he proves himself time and time again. He is is the most professional, reliable, knowledgeable, and caring Real Estate Agent I have ever met. I would and do recommend him to anyone who is looking to buy or sell a home. Bought a Condo home in 2012 in Mountain Park, Lake Oswego, OR.

Rick was an amazing resource throughout the process of purchasing my first home. At the beginning of the process, he took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for, and sent us many options to preview. Once we found some we liked, Rick took us out that day. It was on that first trip out that we found our wonderful condo. Once we made an offer, Rick kept in constant communication with us, giving us updates and checking in with our lender and title company regularly to make sure we were all on the same page.

Not only was this my first home, but I was moving from out of state, so Rick gave me the extra attention such a big move deserved. I am thrilled to have had the experience to work with him, and we will definitely be using his expertise to help us find our next property someday!

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $250K in Vancouver, WA.

I was in a nearly impossible situation, relocating for a new job, living in a hotel, and pregnant wife waiting on the other end of the country back east. I only had a few weeks to find a home where I can spend the next several years raising a family.

Rick was very diligent in making this happen for me. No telling how many homes we looked at, but we were actually out looking at homes on his Birthday! His dedication to my situation was very much appreciated. We also appreciated the personal relationship we developed through the process. He also had a great love and appreciation for our home state of Tennessee, and we liked that.

As is, we found the perfect home! Thanks Rick!

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $350K in Bryant, Lake Oswego, OR.

We hired Rick after dumping the awful broker who made the sale of our previous home a traumatic and expensive disaster. On the buy side, we'd been working with her and one other brokerage firm -- they both kept sending us listings for houses that were absolutely not what we were looking for: giant, badly-designed, cheaply-built McMansions built on postage stamp-sized lots in unwalkable cookie cutter neighborhoods are not our thing -- but that's what one broker kept sending us. The other sent us lots of really depressing, tear-down cottages on too-small lots in undesirable neighborhoods -- thinking we'd want to build there. Rick sent us exactly what we asked for: interesting, creatively-inspiring, well-built homes with room for a pool and a kids play area -- emphasis on Mid Century Modern or NW Contemporary. We actually found one house we were ready to make an offer on early on. But Rick said, "This house is priced $100K over its value. I am not letting you buy it at this price!" He was right to tell us to wait. After several months, we found our dream home, $200K cheaper than the one we wanted to buy. He negotiated very well for us while still being kind and respectful to the seller -- a very kind elderly woman who was making the traumatic move to senior housing. Thuggish Buyers' Brokers who beat up on vulnerable owners are as undesirable to us as buyers as the cowardly broker who gave away far too much and always played the Beta Dog as our sales agent. Long story short: we won a bidding war between five different buyers on our dream house, even though our offer was not the highest. Rick Bean has been there all the way through escrow. And he's had some great tips along the way. What more can you ask of a broker?

Showed home in 2012 in Arnold Creek, Rivergrove, OR 97035.

Our goal is to relocate from out of state to the Portland area. We contacted Rick via his website and he patiently answered any questions we had as we searched online for a potential new home. After several months, we visited Portland and Rick was invaluable to us in narrowing down which specific area would work for us. He spent two days showing us a sampling of properties from condos to rural country properties, from Lake Oswego to McMinnville. Our time with Rick was extremely enjoyable and stress free. He is prompt and a very safe driver. He was excellent at listening to what we really want and he evaluated each property as to how it would fit our needs. It was clear Rick's goal was to really help us find our new home not just make a sale. You often hear realtors say it is all about relationships but with Rick, it is clear this is not just a sales phrase. My husband and I both highly recommend Rick for anyone's real estate needs and we look forward to completing our relocation with Rick's assistance.

Bought a Townhouse home in 2012 for approximately $275K in Multnomah, Portland, OR.

Rick helped us purchase our first home in 2012. Our experience with Rick was above and beyond what could be expected of any real estate agent. From the very beginning, it was very clear that Rick was very focused on meeting our needs and finding a property for us as quickly as possible. His professionalism mixed perfectly with his jovial nature that made the buying experience an exiting and fun time for my fiancé and I. What we enjoyed most about working with Rick was his patience, which is a lacking quality for many agents. No matter how many houses we looked at, we never felt pressured to rush into a deal. In the end, we ended up getting our dream home at 15% below asking price. I can't say enough good things about Rick and would recommend him without reservation.

We have been exceptionaly pleased with Rick. He goes above and beyound the call of duty time after time. Bought a Single Family home in 2010 for approximately $250K in Gresham, OR.

Rick was and still is a wonderful, detailed, and reliable estate agent to have on your side! We relocated from California to Portland and he made the move so very easy (yes it can be done). We had 10 days to purchase a home and we did it! It was a "Ricks Pick". We had our list and he took that and found his picks and we both ended up happy! Oh and he was very kind with our dog! Points for that! We will use Rick again! Big Hugs to you Rick.

Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $325K in Camas, WA.

We had a very positive experience workingwith Rick to find and purchase our new home. Coming from another region of the country, we depended on Rick to help us learn the markethere and find the home we were looking for. We were not disappointed. On a number of occasions in the several month process, Rick couldhave steered us to close a purchase with a word or two of encouragement, but those houses were not the best fit for us. Rather than just closinga deal and moving on, Rick stayed with us, counseled patience, and theoutcome was in our best interest.
