Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $425K in Chabot Park, Oakland, CA.
Here's to you Remy, you did it again on the market and in 7 days SOLD, and not mention over asking price. From the beginning Remy took my wife and I, thru step by step taking the time to explain our options so we could make the decision's that were best for us. We met Remy back in 2010 he was our agent when we bought our first house so we knew who to call when our sweat equity was complete. From sitting down and preparing a plan for inspections, to his recommendation to not leave anything incomplete for the next buyer. He is your go to Agent. We had seven offers in 5 days and his buyers sailed right thru to the end. From docu signing to attention to detail Remy you get 5 stars. Thanks for the great work!
Sold a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $300K in Produce & Waterfront, Oakland, CA.
I listed my condo in Jack London Square with Remy and couldn't be happier with the results. We got multiple offers after only 11 days on the market- it was easily the most seamless real estate deal I've been part of. Remy and his team handled everything for me, from coordinating a great (and cheap) handyman for repairs that were needed, to arranging an excellent deal on staging. All I had to do was literally sign the documents (all electronically) and pick up my check! He knows the Oakland real estate market very well and displayed competence in all areas of handling my transaction. His honesty and straight forward approach was refreshing and rare, in my experience. The next time I buy or sell there will be no question as to who I will contact. Remy is amazing!
Bought a Single Family home in 2008 for approximately $300K in Oak Knoll-Golf Links, Oakland, CA.
After searching and looking at dozens of houses with Remy he found the perfect place for me and my wife. I can't say enough about remys work ethic. He went above and beyond any expectaiions I would have ever asked anyone to do for us. Remy is the only realtor I refer to all of my friends and relatives.
This review is way past-due! Nevertheless, I need to give 5 stars to Remy, the super realtor, who helped me check off an important milestone in my life—purchasing my first home.
Nothing made me want to purchase a condo more than the high prices of rent in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, I had no idea what type of property was right for me. I had a budget and general locations in mind but still needed a lot of help in the process. I did know I needed the best real estate agent in town to make it happen during a crazy time when housing inventory was incredibly low.
Remy delivers 5 star service! Armed with plenty of professional experience, Remy is easy to contact and can answer questions thoroughly, no matter how big or small. During the time I was searching for my home, I was traveling for work almost every week, so I needed to leverage alternative methods of communication to continue my aggressive search. I did the majority of transactions from smartphone leveraging mobile app’s Remy recommended to accommodate my frequent travel. Remy always promptly returned all of my phone calls, emails, and text messages. His ability to work with the latest technology was absolutely invaluable to my search.
Even with the high hurdles and competitive market I was up against, Remy was able to find me the perfect place nestled in a sought-after neighborhood. Remy worked so hard to make it all happen in 4 weeks!
I needed someone who would be an advocate for my offer, especially when it came down to negotiating a reasonable price and light repairs with the seller.
Remy also has a great network of contacts (loan officer, home inspectors, etc.) that are just as dedicated to their responsibilities, making sure there were no hiccups in the escrow process. I was impressed at how efficiently and smoothly Remy handled the paperwork and documentation. Considering all the horror stories I’ve heard of other people falling out of escrow, I knew I had someone supporting me all the way.
I have nothing but great things to say about Remy. He treated every interaction with attention, respect and honestly. Nothing more you can ask in an agent for IMO!
Bought a Condo home in 2014 for approximately $325K in Rancho San Antonio, Oakland, CA.
Remy was my agent during the buying process and while I found the property on my own using Trulia, he was a tremendous resource for me from that point forward. Here's the review, using a few key categories that I think are important to a successful transaction:
Whether it was email, text, or voice call Remy was extremely accessible virtually 24/7. I don't ever recall feeling ignored or out of touch with him. Additionally, all of my questions were answered thoroughly and honestly. If Remy, didn't have the answer to a question, he sought it out and got back to me promptly.
I feel like I got an awesome deal on my property! From the first offer we drafted to the final selling price, I felt great about Remy representing my financial interests and negotiating with the listing agent. In the end, Remy saved me a nice sum of money and for that I'm extremely grateful!
Accountability/Execution & Problem Solving:
There were some restrictions as it relates to my initial loan that put a halt to our pursuit of buying the property. Initially, I felt extremely defeated that I would not be able to move forward in purchasing the property. Because I had already come out of pocket for yet another appraisal that I wasn't going to move forward in the buying process with, Remy took accountability and offered to reimburse me OUT OF HIS OWN pockets if I made the decision to retain him as my agent. Also, being the resilient and persistent agent that he is, Remy found a different lender who was ultimately able to get my loan approved and allowed us to move forward with the process!
Remy is very personable! While connecting personally, Remy maintained the highest level of professionalism throughout the process. From small things like being punctual every single time I asked to see the property before buying it (easily 7-8 times) to more important things like walking me through the HOA documents, reviewing the final settlement agreement, and keeping me looped into the process at all times so that I was not guessing what the next steps were (again I this was my first purchase).
I've only been living in my place for about 2 weeks but I can honestly say that if I were to buy another property in Oakland tomorrow, I wouldn't hire anyone but Remy to be my agent. I am extremely pleased with the purchase and even Remy's communication after the transaction was completed has been excellent.
Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $300K in Tuxedo, Oakland, CA.
Remy is great! I am a new home owner thanks to his team. He is professional, helpful and patient. He was able to gear me in the right direction, while still allowing me to look at everything under the (Oakland) sun! He walked me through the process and his great relationships with other professionals (brokers, other agents, etc.) in the field made the whole process smooth and painless.
Sold a Single Family home in 2013 in Outer Mission, San Francisco, CA.
With Remy as our Real Estate Agent, last year my sister and sold our grandparents' house in the outer mission district of San Francisco.
We were particularly impressed with Remy's patience and understanding as we struggled to deal with our strong emotional ties to the property. The circumstances were less than ideal in many ways. The house was old and in really bad shape and the contents needed to be emptied and the house cleaned. In addition, there were multiple calls made to the city regarding possible permit violations.
Remy hit the ground running. Once the house was ready to view, he planned and organized multiple open house events with agents and potential buyers. On two different occasions buyers dropped out of contract at the last minute. My sister and I were extremely frustrated by the whole process. Remy kept a positive attitude and encouraged us to push forward, planning a series of additional open house events within a period of a couple of weeks. He remained in daily contact with us on how things were progressing and what we could do to help. We were completely surprised at how extremely connected he was in the broker community. As the selling agent he exceeded our expectations by bringing multiple buyers from his own network. Amazingly, Remy was able to bring one of his investor's clients to the table that ultimately made the best offer and purchased our family's home.
In short, he's been an excellent agent throughout the process and as an added bonus managed to close escrow within 10 days.
We feel so lucky that we chose to work with Remy over the many other agents we interviewed. He was a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for an agent to buy or sell their home!
I started working with Remy kind of by accident. He had an open house that I attended on a property he was listing. I went solo since the Real Estate Agent I was currently working with was basically none existent.
At the open house, Remy was more than happy to provide me information about the surrounding neighborhoods, what areas I should also consider and gave an insightful overview of his listing.
The next day I reached out and asked if I could work with him. Even with our brief conversation the previous day, my sister and I could tell what an honest, professional and knowledgeable realtor/guy he is!
Since being new to the Bay Area, Remy suggested that it would be beneficial for me to see other areas/neighborhoods. Immediately, he lined up a few properties and brought me to see them all. He provided the key features each neighborhood has to offer. It was great to work with someone who has an understanding of his client’s needs and what areas would suit their lifestyles.
I fell in love with a property and put an offer in. Unfortunately that fell through, but I knew this area was the place for me. So Remy used a specific tactic to bring out the 'sellers'! If you're interested in that tactic, you'll have to call him...... I don't want to give out 'Remy's Secret Recipe for Success'. ;) Within a week, Remy received 3 phone calls from homeowners interested in selling their property!
This was my first purchase EVER so the process could have been overwhelming. With Remy's professionalism, specific knowledge and problem solving skill set it made the whole process more exciting and less fearful! Remy provided advice on the renovations I was going to undertake, what makes sense in the market place for selling the unit down the road. He also provided professional referrals for the home inspection, title company and contractors for the renovations.
If you're looking for a Realtor with integrity, professionalism, solid negotiating skills, you should use Remy Weinstein!
Thank you, Remy, for making this experience so exciting and enjoyable!! AND THANK YOU for finding me a place to call home!!
Best wishes always,
Sold a Condo home in 2013 in Produce & Waterfront, Oakland, CA.
Remy was the best real estate agent ever!! His speed and accuracy of communication was great and he has a great deal of knowledge of the bay area especially the east bay. He also has a great deal of information about short sales and REOs. I would highly recommend him for finding the house/condo of your dreams!!!
There is a reason everyone gives Remy 5 stars. He is a knowledgeable, savvy, hard-working and trustworthy Realtor who has experience, instinct, and affability working for him. He did a fantastic job helping us sell our Oakland home for a great price.
During the sale prep, my husband had to be away on business and Remy helped me with coordinating vendors and inspections and even did some small handiman jobs himself (I am not sure he'd want you all to know that lest you expect him to do that for you, too!) to make sure it all got done right and on time. He has an extensive network of resources who all provided excellent services, from electricians to stagers, to painters, the list goes on. Not only that, Remy is responsive, and connected. He's never far from a mobile device and willing to answer any and all questions for you. My husband and I are both "techies" and we both learned things from Remy. We needed an agent who could navigate modern ways of communicating/doing business well and Remy does.
We originally contacted Remy as a buyer's agent and he was very accommodating while showing me, and my crazy 2 year old, homes in Piedmont. As a father of 3 small children himself, he completely understood and empathized with us. Frankly, I don't know where he gets all his energy, but he brings it! Remy answered all of my questions with as much care BEFORE we even asked him to be our seller's agent. By the time we decided to sell our home, we knew he would be the best person for the job.
Finally, I want to just say that I really enjoyed working with him personally. He actually made a tedious task fun. His presentation of the final, great, offer was priceless. I actually miss his company now that our working relationship has ended (for the time being).
I would recommend him to anyone I know and I would definitely use him again to buy or sell any type of property. Simply put, he knows his stuff.
