Bought a Condo home in 2014 for approximately $425K in Eastmont Hills, Oakland, CA.

My partner and I purchased our first home in October of this year. This was an extraordinarily challenging process given the current market for buyers. I am so glad we had Remy Weinstein by our side through this process. We found Remy through his colleague, Anthony Cassel, at East Bay Sotheby's real estate. We worked with him for several months until we found the right house for us.

Remy made this very challenging process much easier for us for many reasons:

1) Remy KNOWS the east bay and the neighborhoods very well. He was always honest about the areas we were looking in and what he thought the houses were worth and if the neighborhood would meet our needs. We looked all over Oakland and he was up on each area we found houses in. 2) He knows the best way to search for the right home and sent us real leads whenever they came up on the MLS listings. 3) He is very responsive and quick to reply to any communications I had and felt like he was always available when questions or needs arose. 4) He was always honest and I felt he gave us real, useful information and made it easier to walk away if the property wasn't right. 5) He's a great negotiator and knows the price homes will go for. He has connections that ultimately helped our offer to be accepted.

Thanks to Remy we have enjoyed the holidays with our family in our new home! Remy is a truly talented, hardworking and caring realtor that made the whole process much easier for us and I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to buy a home in the Oakland area. He truly deserves 5 stars!

Sold a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $350K in Laurel, Oakland, CA.

We cannot recommend Remy highly enough!! We've been through three transactions with Remy now and he just keeps getting better!!!! We love Remy because: -- his advice on pricing our bid for a foreclosure is spot-on. When we followed it, we succeeded and hen we didn't... we lost. -- His marketing skills got our home sold for over asking price in 1 day! -- His local knowledge is outstanding: accurate and deep -- His follow-thru is thorough and complete -- REMY GETS DEALS DONE!

Below is our original recommendation for Remy. Since then we bought another house thru him for our daughter and then listed our home with him. We set the price at a new high for the neighborhood because the home was a total remodel. Remy did such an outstanding job of marketing to other realtors and getting the word out about the open house that our home sold in a day to someone who came to the open house - and for OVER ASKING! Remy helped negotiate the deal with the Buyer's agent, and oversaw the whole sale process.

Remy is as true jewel and a real find! He helped us negotiate for a short sale home for my daughter. It's taking forever to happen (thanks to a totally non-responsive bank). He's been amazingly patient about showing us alternatives so we can get her settled! He uses the latest technology to make the whole process as simple and convenient as possible. His dedication, unfailing good humor, and responsiveness are outstanding! We are so impressed with Remy, both in terms of his job knowledge and also his whole approach to customer relations, that he will be our choice for selling our current home in another month or so. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Remy!

Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $500K in Eastmont Hills, Oakland, CA.

My husband and I purchased our first home this summer. I am convinced that we couldn’t have found a better agent than Remy.

From the very first phone call, we were able to tell that Remy was very down-to-earth. As we got to know him better, he also proved to be honest, trustworthy, and precise throughout the buying process. If he didn’t know the answer to a question, he would find out and get back to us in almost no time.

He was also very responsive to to our needs as first-time buyers. He quickly returned every phone call and spent hours at a time showing houses, answering questions, and explaining documents at our convenience, often during evenings and weekends. We never felt rushed or pressured into anything; we could tell that he genuinely wanted to help us find something that suited us. We truly felt like he cared about us as people and that we more more than just a sale to him.

Even after the close of escrow, he continued to answer our questions, run errands, and provide help. If that’s not a sign of an agent that truly cares, I don’t know what is!

We have lived in our house for over a few months now and we are still amazed at how great of a deal we got on our house. We could never have done gotten such a wonderful home at a great price without the help and advice of Remy. If you are looking to purchase real estate in the Oakland area, call Remy. You won’t regret it.

Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $425K in Maxwell Park, Oakland, CA.

Remy is incredible!!!!!! My husband and I are so lucky to have worked with such a talented, knowledgeable, and caring Realtor. We are in the home of our dreams and still can't believe that we managed to get THIS HOUSE! It is all...ALL...thanks to Remy! We worked for almost two years with another Realtor who, nice as she was, was not proactive in locating listings that met our needs and, in retrospect, was not in tune enough with the competitive Bay Area market to guide us in developing adequate offers. After waiting months on a short sale that ended up being foreclosed on (another thing our Realtor should have known was occurring, as it was on record, but failed to tell us about until a week prior) we decided it was time to search for a new Realtor. After scouring reviews we found Remy. I was skeptical that he would live up to his rave reviews, but he managed to be even more impressive in person than on paper. Even though we were working with a relatively small budget compared to many in the Bay (specifically Oakland) these days, Remy made us feel like we were million+ dollar clients. He patiently showed us house after house (he located so many awesome homes that fit our needs and budget!) and we found THE ONE. Remy put together an offer that was both aggressive enough to get the house and an offer that was well within our comfort zone....and now we have our home! Thank you, thank you, thank you to Remy! We do and will, without a doubt, recommend Remy to any friend, family member, or stranger looking for their home.

Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $425K in Chabot Park, Oakland, CA.

Here's to you Remy, you did it again on the market and in 7 days SOLD, and not mention over asking price. From the beginning Remy took my wife and I, thru step by step taking the time to explain our options so we could make the decision's that were best for us. We met Remy back in 2010 he was our agent when we bought our first house so we knew who to call when our sweat equity was complete. From sitting down and preparing a plan for inspections, to his recommendation to not leave anything incomplete for the next buyer. He is your go to Agent. We had seven offers in 5 days and his buyers sailed right thru to the end. From docu signing to attention to detail Remy you get 5 stars. Thanks for the great work!

Sold a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $300K in Produce & Waterfront, Oakland, CA.

I listed my condo in Jack London Square with Remy and couldn't be happier with the results. We got multiple offers after only 11 days on the market- it was easily the most seamless real estate deal I've been part of. Remy and his team handled everything for me, from coordinating a great (and cheap) handyman for repairs that were needed, to arranging an excellent deal on staging. All I had to do was literally sign the documents (all electronically) and pick up my check! He knows the Oakland real estate market very well and displayed competence in all areas of handling my transaction. His honesty and straight forward approach was refreshing and rare, in my experience. The next time I buy or sell there will be no question as to who I will contact. Remy is amazing!

Bought a Single Family home in 2008 for approximately $300K in Oak Knoll-Golf Links, Oakland, CA.

After searching and looking at dozens of houses with Remy he found the perfect place for me and my wife. I can't say enough about remys work ethic. He went above and beyond any expectaiions I would have ever asked anyone to do for us. Remy is the only realtor I refer to all of my friends and relatives.

Bought a home in 2012 in Prescott, Oakland, CA 94607.

This review is way past-due! Nevertheless, I need to give 5 stars to Remy, the super realtor, who helped me check off an important milestone in my life—purchasing my first home.

Nothing made me want to purchase a condo more than the high prices of rent in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, I had no idea what type of property was right for me. I had a budget and general locations in mind but still needed a lot of help in the process. I did know I needed the best real estate agent in town to make it happen during a crazy time when housing inventory was incredibly low.

Remy delivers 5 star service! Armed with plenty of professional experience, Remy is easy to contact and can answer questions thoroughly, no matter how big or small. During the time I was searching for my home, I was traveling for work almost every week, so I needed to leverage alternative methods of communication to continue my aggressive search. I did the majority of transactions from smartphone leveraging mobile app’s Remy recommended to accommodate my frequent travel. Remy always promptly returned all of my phone calls, emails, and text messages. His ability to work with the latest technology was absolutely invaluable to my search.

Even with the high hurdles and competitive market I was up against, Remy was able to find me the perfect place nestled in a sought-after neighborhood. Remy worked so hard to make it all happen in 4 weeks!

I needed someone who would be an advocate for my offer, especially when it came down to negotiating a reasonable price and light repairs with the seller.

Remy also has a great network of contacts (loan officer, home inspectors, etc.) that are just as dedicated to their responsibilities, making sure there were no hiccups in the escrow process. I was impressed at how efficiently and smoothly Remy handled the paperwork and documentation. Considering all the horror stories I’ve heard of other people falling out of escrow, I knew I had someone supporting me all the way.

I have nothing but great things to say about Remy. He treated every interaction with attention, respect and honestly. Nothing more you can ask in an agent for IMO!

Bought a Condo home in 2014 for approximately $325K in Rancho San Antonio, Oakland, CA.

Remy was my agent during the buying process and while I found the property on my own using Trulia, he was a tremendous resource for me from that point forward. Here's the review, using a few key categories that I think are important to a successful transaction:

Communication/Responsiveness: Whether it was email, text, or voice call Remy was extremely accessible virtually 24/7. I don't ever recall feeling ignored or out of touch with him. Additionally, all of my questions were answered thoroughly and honestly. If Remy, didn't have the answer to a question, he sought it out and got back to me promptly.

Negotiating: I feel like I got an awesome deal on my property! From the first offer we drafted to the final selling price, I felt great about Remy representing my financial interests and negotiating with the listing agent. In the end, Remy saved me a nice sum of money and for that I'm extremely grateful!

Accountability/Execution & Problem Solving: There were some restrictions as it relates to my initial loan that put a halt to our pursuit of buying the property. Initially, I felt extremely defeated that I would not be able to move forward in purchasing the property. Because I had already come out of pocket for yet another appraisal that I wasn't going to move forward in the buying process with, Remy took accountability and offered to reimburse me OUT OF HIS OWN pockets if I made the decision to retain him as my agent. Also, being the resilient and persistent agent that he is, Remy found a different lender who was ultimately able to get my loan approved and allowed us to move forward with the process!

Overall Professionalism: Remy is very personable! While connecting personally, Remy maintained the highest level of professionalism throughout the process. From small things like being punctual every single time I asked to see the property before buying it (easily 7-8 times) to more important things like walking me through the HOA documents, reviewing the final settlement agreement, and keeping me looped into the process at all times so that I was not guessing what the next steps were (again I this was my first purchase).

Overall Satisfaction: I've only been living in my place for about 2 weeks but I can honestly say that if I were to buy another property in Oakland tomorrow, I wouldn't hire anyone but Remy to be my agent. I am extremely pleased with the purchase and even Remy's communication after the transaction was completed has been excellent.

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $300K in Tuxedo, Oakland, CA.

Remy is great! I am a new home owner thanks to his team. He is professional, helpful and patient. He was able to gear me in the right direction, while still allowing me to look at everything under the (Oakland) sun! He walked me through the process and his great relationships with other professionals (brokers, other agents, etc.) in the field made the whole process smooth and painless.
