mpalI think you are dead on. My agent has mine on the local mls with other office's sites as well as realtor.com. He is avoiding the issue of a virtual tour or showcase on realtor trying to say that in our area his site is more popular. BS its all about money. If I end up using another agent, I definitely will get it in writing about a showcase with virtual tour on realtor.com.
My agent only has 1 photo on realtor. There is a virtual tour available that the agent did himself using photos from us that is displayed on local real estate sites. However, to get realtor to accept the feed it takes money. My agent hasn't so much as provided me a flyer and zero print, but at least I have a sign, bent that it is. Agents recommended by friends are sometimes not the best choice. Sometimes the stars were all aligned properly when they may have used him or her.
How important is it that an agent representing a seller be popular with other agents in the area? Could this be of significant value regarding the amount of showings? Enough has been said on the commision issue, I am just wondering about personality conflicts among agents. Can we be truthfull here?
mpalI hear you, but I intended to list only until the end of Sept. or if things really started to pickup, untill the end of Oct. I can't imagine any agent wanting to go through all the trouble for a 2 mo. listing. More on responses using Zillow. I have had 625 page views since May. I wonder how this stacks up. Seems like a lot to me.
2 Months5 showings1 owner's open house with 4 groups all loving it, but no offers. Just curious.If it isn't sold in September, I will be taking it off the market. It just isn't all that important to us at this time to sell. Just wanted to go smaller and in a city closer to family. If people such as us would get off the market, maybe it would lessen the inventory enough that people who really need to sell would have a shorter on the market.
