Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $825K in Malibu, CA.

I first approached Russell about the purchase of a condominium close to the property which we eventually purchased. Once we started talking he mentioned a property which he was working on in the same area, but in a much different price range. One which I initially felt was out side of our reach, but which we eventually bought.

I continued to keep in touch with Russell after that initial conversation and as he shared additional details on the property, I came to understand his initial perspective, that once all factors were accounted for, the property was not that far from our price range...if we could work through several details as the transaction transpired.

My wife and I were new to the area and he helped to educate us on the relative value of the opportunity and why it would make sense for us to take a little more risk to get in to the property we were discussing. He outlined the process which we would be going through and we were able to time the initial Letter of intent to the seller the day after finalizing related transactions, making it possible for us to continue with the offer. Additionally, he helped us to put together a great letter of introduction and establish initial terms which were appropriate for the seller. Both of these aspects of the transaction were highly influential and ultimately extremely valuable.

All the positive aspects listed above are excellent, and yet by far Russell's greatest strength is his responsiveness. For our transaction, he knew that there were a couple things against us, we didn't know the area, we were going to be taking on more than we had planned and my wife was out of the country for much of the time we were working on the transaction. Russell and I were in contact nearly every day as I worked through him to get the right loan broker (who worked tirelessly as well to make this happen), with the escrow company, inspectors, repair people, etc.

There were many complex moving parts to the transaction and Russell was there for us every step of the way. Throughout the process, Russell was there answering every question I had and watching our backs to make sure that the people he brought in performed.
