Sam was great in helping us find our first home. We looked on and off over a year and we never felt pressured into making a decision. He has a great understanding of the market and I would recommend his services to anybody.

We were moving from Connecticut to Chicago at the end of 2012. It was actually our realtor in Connecticut that found Sam, contacted him and arranged for us to meet. We did not think anyone could fill the shoes of the realtor we used in CT. Well we quickly discovered that Sam was going to exceed our expectations. Shorty after meeting us Sam was quick to know and understand the type of area and home we would be happy in, never the less he endured and encouraged our continuous search within the city and further into the suburbs. We found Sam to be professional, courtesous, timely and knowledgeable of the Chicago area. About a month ago, my husband and I closed on our first home, and Sam worked with us through the entire process. He worked hard to show us a variety of places that appealed to us, and did a great job of getting us in early for a showing on the place we ended up purchasing. He negotiated on our behalf and connected us to many of the other people who helped the entire process go smoothly. We are so happy with our new place, and likely wouldn't have ended up where we are without all Sam's hard work!

My wife and I had been working with Sam as our buyer's agent for a few years. Whoever said it's a buyer's market was greatly exaggerating, because finding the right home in the right location at the right price remains a true challenge. We wanted a Single Family Home that did not require a gut rehab in either Lincoln Park or Wicker Park for under a million dollars. The odds of that are only slightly better than finding a Leprechaun with a pot of gold, but Sam undertook the challenge with gusto where many other agents would try to talk us into looking in different neighborhoods.

Sam knows the Ukrainian Village, Wicker Park, Bucktown, and Logan Square areas better than just about anybody, and his knowledge of the areas were key to getting us into the right places at the right time. We found Sam's ability to remain calm and rational in the face of adversity reassuring, even as we contemplated giving up our search after a home we had under contract failed to close due to the seller's misconduct. Sam takes a philosophical and positive approach that "everything happens for a reason", and it kept us in the game where other agents might use the same circumstances to push a change of scope. In the end, Sam was right - the home we ended up purchasing was better than the home we were previously under contract with. Everything happens for a reason!

Finding the right home is often a combination of luck and skill. Sam's skill in listening to and embracing our requirements was unparalleled. We really came to trust and rely on Sam to give it to us straight, whether good news or bad, and I don't think we could have found the home we ultimately purchased without him.

I would highly recommend him to anybody looking for a no-pressure, highly knowledgeable agent who is willing to fight for you. And if that's not the kind of agent you're looking for...you should be.

Sam is the best in the business. I found him in 2003 and have kept in contact with him since for various needs. I don't even remember how we met him originally but he sold our first condo they day he listed it. Then he found our second condo and we loved it for 8 years. I refer everyone to Sam because he is honest and knows the business better than anyone else I have met.
