Hi Mike,When you say "spam on Zillow", are you referring to people promoting themselves in Advice? Outdated listings of homes for sale? Or scammers who email Zillow community members to try to rip them off?(We suffer from all three, so I'm just trying to get more information...)
We currently consider any home sold in the last 3 years to be "recently" sold. We've decided to change that to be a more narrow time window (12 months, I think) and are changing it in an upcoming website release.Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks guys.Yes Sam, I'm a little crazy. But we all knew that already, right? :)Mystery solved... this morning I saw some city workers up the street and asked them what it was for. They're trimming trees on my street to keep the phone lines clear. So the good news is that there's no obstruction coming to block my view (on the contrary). My paranoia will have to stay in check for the time being.
The City left temporary "no parking" signs for 2 days next week in front of my house, so I assume they're doing some sort of electrical work or something? I'd like to call someone and ask what they're doing (what if they're like putting a phone pole in front of my house?Any ideas on whom to call?I've encountered something similar before....See: The scary white dotThe scary white dot returnsR230 mystery solved
Hi golfingdrummer,We currently consider anything sold in the last 3 years to be "recently sold". We're changing that soon though because we realize that's confusing.
No, that's not what I said. Data providers don't remove specific homes either. If a home isn't on Zillow, it's almost certainly because a specific home's info isn't in the public record for some reason. Examples could include that the home is new construction and isn't on file with the county yet, or perhaps the property has been subdivided and isn't on file properly with the county yet. Alternatively an actual error has occurred wherein someone at the county or data provider's office made a mistake and didn't enter in a home correctly. The bottom line is that any home missing from Zillow is unintentional and hasn't been removed on purpose.
Hi everyone,Spencer from Zillow here.No we don't allow people to have their home removed from Zillow (video here). If there are other homes in your area that aren't on Zillow that's because for some reason their data wasn't in the public domain or because one of our data partners for some reason didn't feed the data to us. It's not because Zillow removed the home from our website. (We don't do that.)
are there any parcel maps on zillow?
