tj - Spencer from Zillow here. My wife is a pediatrician and lives/works in LA. I work at Zillow, in Seattle. Commuting suuuuuucks, but we make it work.I did this for 2 years a few years ago, from San Francisco to Seattle. Now I'm doing it from LA to Seattle.I feel your pain.
Does anyone out there have earthquake insurance in Seattle? It's about $700-$1000 per year and the deductibles are 5-10%. I've had it for the last few years and I'm tryin gto decide whether to keep renewing. Just wondering what other people have done on this. Am I the only one with it!?
Haha -- LOL.I'm not sure which broadcast you're referring to, but if it's the one I did yesterday with Marketwatch from San Francisco, I apologize -- I woke up at 5am to fly from seattle to san fran, and i went into my closet only to discover that I had no clean sportjackets. I was pretty embarassed, actually. I'll try not to let it happen again!
@Alisande: You wrote: "They simply do not care if their info is wrong or right as long as people click those annoying ads." Untrue. Obviously we care if the info is wrong or right. That's what we do all day long: try to make the website have better information. It's no small task though to have our "info right" on over 80 million homes. @pcubedproperties: You wrote" There already are law suits". Not sure what you're referring to, but I don't think this is correct. You also wrote "Cyberhomes.com is GREAT. It took me 2 mins to do what took me over an hour on Zillow." What is it about Cyberhomes that you prefer to Zillow?@rtripathy: You wrote "zillow stinks. i know my home price will reduce after this". Don't be ridiculous. No it will not. First, we have no clue what house is yours. But more importantly, we don't do this.
@zs2matesrbad: that's not correct. The ability to report homes for sale is still there, we just changed the placement. Look on the left side of any home's "home details page" under "tools".
@rtripathy -- I saw you posted your address on the other thread, and I've asked someone to research it and reply on the other thread. In terms of your question about whether I feel apologetic about homeowners whose Zestimates have dropped -- yes, I do. It brings me (and my colleagues) no pleasure to bring you unhappiness. However, I do frequently take a step back and ask myself whether the internet is a better place with Zillow versus without. And I feel strongly that we provide an overall benefit to the more than 5 million people who come to our website every month. It's better that we exist than if we did not exist. I recognize that this is of little help to you in your quandry, but since you asked I figured I'd tell you.
What does Zillow mean to you?
