Bought a home in 2013.
Stephan's the consummate professional. From our first encounter at an Open House he's been nothing but extremely responsive, helpful, and supportive in my search for my first home. Our first business correspondence didn't result in a sale for me, but I was so impressed by Stephan's work that I made sure to stay in contact with him on subsequent searches. I ultimately landed a home in SSF, and I can say for certain that he was key in making it happen. I highly recommend Stephan for any homebuyers out there and am confident they will have similar experiences.

Bought a home in 2012.
Stephan recently helped us purchase our home in San Carlos. Before we settled on our current place, Stephan patiently took my wife and me all around the Peninsula, from South San Francisco all the way down through Redwood City and really helped us get familiar with the different cities and neighborhoods within this area. We ended up making two offers, and Stephan patiently and thoroughly walked us through the process (as this was a first time experience for me). Stephan helped us put together a competitive offer on the first house we liked; and while the offer ultimately wasn't accepted, it gave us comfort that Stephan knew the market well as we weren't far off. After our second offer was accepted, Stephan was very helpful in organizing competent inspectors and even helped us organize the transfer of utilities and other 'random' tasks related to buying a home. All in all, Stephan made the process a lot less painful that I expected it to be. I would definitely recommend Stephan and would engage him again when/if I sell or buy again.

Sold a home in 2012.
How do I thank Stephan Marshall for not only selling our house for over asking (multiple bids!), but finding us our new San Carlos home??? By coming on here and giving him a great review!
We put our house on the market with one weekend of open houses, and had multiple offers the following week. He negotiated rent back to help us find our new home, all the while weeding through the inventory in our new city to find homes that would work for us.
We had a very selective neighborhood we wanted, and Stephan scoured the area, mailing 2,500 letters to home owners telling them about us and that we were looking in their area.
When we found our home, he even presented our offer in person, bringing a letter for the seller, telling them about us and how much we loved the house. This definitely was why we ended up in our home!
Thank you again Stephan for all the hard work!

Bought a Condo home in 2012 for approximately $225K in San Bruno, CA.
My family first had experience with Stephan selling our grandparents' home in San Bruno. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area, process, and he brought the right people in who staged it beautifully. It sold very quickly for above the asking price. Needless to say, this impressed my family and me.
So, when I was in the market for buying a condo, I connected with Stephan. I was not disappointed at all. He worked tirelessly with me. He set me up with a wonderful list of places to see, he made himself available whenever I wanted to see a property, even on the weekends, and he ultimately made the process painless for me. When I finally put in an offer on a condo, he worked very hard to get it for me at the best price possible.
Because of my experiences with Stephan, if I'm ever in the market to buy another condo or house, I will not hesitate to go to him. I would also recommend him to anyone. He truly knows what he is doing, he's kind and respectful, and he'll put his best effort into what he does.

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $650K in Redwood City, CA.
To be honest, I was a little terrified of the process of buying a home. This was our first home and we'd heard PLENTY of horror stories. Not, really, knowing where to begin even, we wandered around Zillow for a while and started putting in requests for information on a few properties. Other agents that contacted us or with whom we worked in the beginning were pushy, or really passive aggressive, or seemed to be barely interested in us at all. Stephen walked this amazing line of "I know what I'm doing" and "I want you to tell me what you need."
Ultimately, though, the easy and confident demeanor he presented - tempered with honesty in admitting when he wasn't familiar with aspects of our new home, like the pool - both kept us calm throughout a potentially stress-nightmare, and gave us a sense that we were "in good hands." I've already passed Stephen's information on to one friend whose sister is going to be looking to buy in the area, soon (her agent was pretty bad), and intend to do the same when any of our friends start to consider buying.

Bought a home in 2012.
We were first time home buyers and new to the Bay area. Stephan was extremely easy to work with from the very beginning; sending us several properties to consider, directing us to the right areas to look, and always willing to look at houses with us. When it came time to put down an offer, Stephan thoughtfully walked us through the process and answered every question so we felt comfortable.
In the end, it's Stephan's demeanor that proved to be most helpful in this process. He kept us calm, confident and well-informed. We never had a question that he had our best interests in mind. He was the perfect trusted advisor.

Sold a home in 2012.
Stephan was outstanding in helping us sell our condo. It was a very difficult and stressful escrow close since the buyers were first timers and demanded everything more than a normal sale process.
Without his professionalism and attention to details I doubt if the sale would have gone thru.
He provided excellent brochures and videos to support our sale.
I would recommend Stephan and his services to anybody

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $525K in Belmont, CA.
We first contacted Stephan because we read his excellent reviews and we are so thankful we met with him because he is one of a kind Realtor! He is very laid back, honest, efficient and very professional. Stephan never rushed us and he has always been very accessible for all the questions we had. Since we were first time home buyers, we were lucky we found someone as helpful as Stephan. We found the house we liked and it was a multiple offer situation. Stephan not only helped us through all the paperwork and gave us advice on how our offer could stand out, but he was in constant communication with the listing Agent. From multiple bids, our offer got chosen and I know we wouldn’t be able to do it without Stephan’s help. Then he walked us through every step, from scheduling inspection and appraisal to organizing everything to make sure we could close escrow on time!
We highly recommend him to anyone, and we can assure your escrow process will be so smooth you won’t even have to stress about it!

Sold a home in 2011.
If i had to use one word to describe our experience with stephan marshall it would be "Fantastic'! From the first meeting with Stephan at a sunday open house my husband and I felt a connection. We were both struck by his low-key, 'no hard sell' approach to us as well as his friendly nature. We signed up with Stephan and that was the start of of a awesome relationship beginning with the hiring of contractors for an extensive remodel and ending with the incredibly quick sale of our home 1 month ago. Throughout the process stephan was there for us, offering help in any way from recommending contractors(who by the way were competent and honest) to advising us on expenditures and all the while keeping that wonderful low-key don't stress approach.... Just an awesome experience start to finish and to top it off stephan brought us a buyer with offer, sale and closing all completed within 1 month! amazing.
