In hindsight, I just saw your profile and noticed you were are agent, guess you do not need to contact a local professional. You ought to be able to answer that question as easily as any of us, right? How are your market conditions there? I am assuming it is a great time to sell where you are at.
One thing to keep in my mind, real estate is local. Interest rates are rising and will most likely continue to do so. As that happens, the pool of buyers gets smaller. I am not certain what the market conditions are like in your area. Most places have been seeing pretty good increases in values. I think now is an ideal time to sell in most places, I would ask a local professional in your market.
One good online source is the city/data forums. Here is the link. http://www.city-data.com/forum/Also, you can look at crime stats on line, the sex offender database on line. I would look around through the city data forum for your area. It is an excellent resource for those moving to a new area.
Your agent should show you any property that you are interested in, it is his/her duty as an agent. In terms of why they may be resistant on a FSBO, it is typically more work as they are representing you and now most likely have to do quite a bit of coaching with the owner on processes. Also, FSBOs often are reluctant to pay any agent fees.
