Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $250K in Nashua, NH.
We got in contact with Steve based on the recommendation of some friends of ours who had worked with him to buy their home, and we are glad we did! He was able to help us through every step of the process, from setting up the web searches for our home to negotiating with the sellers. I've recommended him to three or four other people since then, and will continue to bring up his name to anyone I know who needs a real estate agent.
Steve was the one to find the listing for this house and recommend it to us, and we love it! During our second visit to the home, we had a major snow storm that knocked out power to the entire area for several days. Steve was fantastic, filling in the details of our offer letter by hand and driving around the Nashua and Merrimack area to collect signatures and do paperwork. As a result of his extra effort when nobody else had fax machines or scanners, we were able to get our offer in ahead of several other interested parties!
He was able to recommend how best to negotiate closing costs and pricing based on the situation, and I feel that he did a good job of presenting the options available and how aggressively to try negotiating the price down.
Steve was also able to recommend a good finance agent, who was able to work with us to get a loan together in a near-record time! Everything about the process was better than we had hoped for, and most of it was due to him.
All in all, it was a great experience. Steve was able to provide good advice yet still let us make the decisions, and he was very helpful to explain the pros and cons of each option available to us. He recommended we visit this home based on our wish list, put a lot of extra work in to get our paperwork ready even though nobody had electricity, and worked the negotiation with the seller in a great way. We are very happy with our new home, and recommend him to all of our friends in the area!

Steve was a very knowledgeable in the details that we needed to complete out purchase of our land for the construction of our new home. He was always on time and always answered his phone for our questions and concerns. He did not take the owners final sale price and thought that we could get it for a little less which we did. He was a joy to work with.
In the sale of our condo he was insightful and did his best to get it sold for the price that we listed it for. He would hold open houses and put many hours to try to get it sold. Do to his expert experience and work ethic, he was able to get us a little bit below our asking price. This was such a big deal do to the fact that in 2009 it was an awful time to buy and sell real estate do to the economies state. I would recommend him to anyone.

Back in 2002 we were determined to sell our home on our own. Seeing the sign in our yard, Steve MacDougall knocked on our door, introduced himself and his business. He provided insight as to market conditions that convinced us he would be better able to market and sell our home and achieve our financial goal. Not only did Steve meet that goal, but he surpassed it!
Steve worked tirelessly with us on the sale of the home and the purchase of a condo we were looking to buy.
