12/14/2012 - user62424218Bought a Single Family home in 2009 for approximately $150K in Bellewood, Mobile, AL.
Tim Mills was my Real Estate agent when I was looking for a house to buy in 2009. I got prequalified before my house search and was happy and comfortable with my score and the amount of financing for which I qualified. I did find a house and I purchased it in 11/2009. Tim did get me access to properties to view. However, ten percent(10%) of the homes he chose to show me did not meet my preferences. Ninety(90%) of the property he showed me were the ones I ASKED to see because they met my preferences( curb appeal, floor plan, etc). I found these houses on his company's realtor website. He apparently did not know what was posted on his site, because I waited a week for him to tell me about one - he never did. I had to tell him about it. By the time the offer was submitted, another offer was placed ahead of us and accepted. So I told him again what I was looking for in a house and the area I liked. Yet he took me to homes that did not fit my preferences and location. Also I think he purposely recommended an inspector he knew would do an easier inspection. As far as negoitiating skills - I think he has none. In the end, he turned into the stereotype of a "used car salesman". I think he switched sides and started acting like the sellers' agent, even though the sellers had a well known and experienced one. I paid full price for a house in a "buyers market". I could not fiqure out the reason for Tim's presence. I would not recommend Tim Mills. My advise is to hire a well-known and experienced realtor. Anytime during the process, you lose confidence and trust in your realtor, get another realtor.
Response from Tim
Tim Mills was an excellent realtor. As a first time home buyer, we needed someone with patience, knowlegde of the market, someone who was trustworthy, and had our best interest at heart. Tim was all of the above. Any questions we had, he was just a phone call away day or night. He was very knowledgeable of the real estate market. After a very short search, Tim found our dream home. He showed us homes that listed everything on our wish list including features that weren't on our wish list, but was a bonus all within our price range! Even after closing, Tim called to follow up and to let us know even though the home buying process is over he is still just a phone call away if we had any questions or concerns. Tim made this an easy and joyous process. We highly recommend him to anyone!

10/23/2012 - user9173999We connected, but it did not work out. Looking in Rothfield, Wilmer, AL 36575
I asked for photos of a listing so i could make a bid on a property. All i got was excuses for two weeks and still no pics. I told him i would use a different realtor and NOT recommend him to anyone else.

Unfortunately, it was not as simple as one explained. I will not enter anyone property without owner or his/ her representative consent. There were specific instructions to enter the property in questions. As a Realtor it is imperative we follow instructions. The user wanted one to take pictures of a barn that was located on back side of property which is heavily wooded. Consequently, this the reason i believe the sellers has to present. Here are several factors one must consider when one failed to follow instructions: 1, ethics laws we govern by, 2. real estate law; 3. MLS rules; 4. trespassing; 5. most important on safety. At any rate, I did encourage the user to contact someone else if one believe they could expedite or better serve him. Bottom line as a real estate professional we are held to the highest standards. In conclusion, I will always follow the rules; so please do not ask me to break the laws of the land.
