My wife and I built with TOBH and moved in during Nov 2014. The initial sales process was awesome and we were sold on why TOBH was the best builder for us. From that point on it has been one disappointment after another during construction and post move-in. No business is perfect and humans make mistakes, but what we have experienced is a culture of tolerated mistakes, finger pointing, and excuses. Unless we hound the company for answers, we are left wondering what's going on. Even then, mistakes are still made and items are missed. Subcontractors are not held accountable and every opportunity is taken to explain why they can't do something vs taking ownership. This is our second time building and I must say the first time around with a different builder was far less stressful. I really wish TOBH would take care of issues in a timely and convenient manner. Communication between the builder and client is very poor. I strongly recommend that this builder develop a tool to record customer requests and follow up items so that they can be managed more effectively. Too much is done manually and forgotten. We feel like TOB workers are just spread too thin. Too much quantity and not enough focus on quality, when the sales pitch is focused on quality. We'd love to be happy with our home, but several prior and ongoing issues have us regretting our decision. As of right now, there's no way we could recommend TOB.
