The bank will modify a loan for a customer that has been in the home for 12 full months. If the homeowner would like a lower payment without refinancing a modification should be the next deal. This will help any Realtor and Broker to tell their clients that if they don't like the current interest rate all they need to do is pay for 12 months and then apply for a lower rate. This will make them happy.
