Bought a Single Family home in 2009 for approximately $275K in North Liberty, IA.
He was very willing to work with our schedule and very knowledgable about new houses that popped up that fit what we liked. Would definately use again.

Bought a home in 2009.
Clay was by far the most impressive of any agent we’ve dealt with through the years. He is extremely responsive to your needs yet does not attempt to sway you one way or the other for his advantage. Finally an agent you can trust.

Bought a home in 2006.
Clay helped me along in the process of buying my first home six years ago, and I am utilizing him in searching currently as well. He is very knowledgeable about the properties, as well as super quick at getting back to you via email or a phone call. I would highly recommend him. He is very helpful and made my first home transaction a breeze.

Sold a Single Family home in 2013 in Palatine, IL.
We would like to say that Clay is the ideal Real Estate professional. We purchased and sold a home with Clay, and he went out of his way to ensure that both transactions were stress-free. He is responsive, and he has a vast understanding of the real estate market in Iowa City and in Eastern Iowa.

We highly recommend working with Clay.

Bought a Single Family home in 2011 in Iowa City, IA.
TO THE MODERATOR: Just a slight change. Removed my name and address and the name of the other realtor. Otherwise all the same. Bill Risma

Clay's brand is "AT YOUR SERVICE". Each time he closes communications with us whether its an email or conversation, he always says "At your service". He lives it and practices it. We were happy recepients of his Outstanding Service. Our story: When we started looking for homes here in Iowa City, we went thru 3 other realtors before we decided with Clay. The other realtors seemed only interested in working with us if/when it fit their schedule and/or if we were interested in their listings. That was really surprising as we were "sure" buyers as we had already sold our house in MN and moving into Iowa City to be close to grandkids. While driving around we saw one of Clay's listing and called him. Clay met us within a half hour. Then when we told him about another listing down the street from his who's listing agent and assistant couldn't accomodate our schedule, he got us in that same afternoon. That is service! He didn't even ask us to sign a Buyer's Agency Agreement. Clay continued to hone his understanding of our "perfect home" and after several trips (4 hours away) to the area he found us our home. Throughout the process he was always there and available "at our service". He referred to us a very reputable, unbiased and super thorough Instpector. Then as we needed an interim storage, he negotiated for us an Early Occupancy in the garage to store our belongings as we had to move out of our home in MN. That saved us extra cost and extra handling! Our story continues...we grew frustrated with Bank of America's senseless process and so we wanted to switch bankers and risk of missing our closing date and no place to live. Clay jumped in and found us a local and very competitive banker that was able to jump in midstream and get us closed on schedule in less than two and a half weeks! Unprecedented and outstanding!! One more thing....the seller had not completely corrected all the items on the Inspection list to our satisfaction, so we wanted to hold a retainer at closing. Definitely and unpopular item to bring up just days before closing, but Clay with his unwavering service attitude, went to bat for us, and pushed for the retainer. Never questioned our desire nor even hesitated and never showed his fear for losing the sale. Quite to the contrary, the Seller's Agent was rude and unprofessional. We told Clay, we would walk away from the deal if we didn't get the retainer and he took that exact story to the seller. That was truly customer driven service. I will truly use Clay again and would definitely refer him to anyone. Very truly yours,
