My husband and I were relocating from New Mexico to the Millersburg, PA area and were on a tight schedule. We contacted Trudy Keefer at Carl Snyder Realty and explained our situation, including our desire to have family members in the area pre-screen homes for us before we made a very quick trip to take a look. Trudy worked diligently to provide opportunities for the family to see homes that we had viewed on-line. When we arrived in PA for a whirlwind trip to hopefully purchase our home, she worked with our schedule and lined up all five properties that we wanted to visit in person for the same day. Two days later we asked her to make an offer for one of the properties and headed back to New Mexico. By the time we got home, Trudy had scheduled all the requested inspections and we were under contract. When the closing date proved to be inconvenient, Trudy worked with the seller agent to move up the closing by two weeks so that we could make our cross-country move in a more timely fashion. We would definitely recommend Carl Snyder Realty and agent Trudy Keefer to anyone looking for a property in the Upper Dauphin, PA area.

Did not respond to my inquiry in Lykens Township, PA.

Contacted the office with an interest in seeing a property in which they are the listing agent. This after leaving Carl 3 messages which were never returned. Receptionist answered the phone, when I asked for Carl, another female took the call. I was then interrogated about signing a binding agreement to lock me into using them alone for my home search. This struck me as unusual as I'm from out of state, however I realize there is such a requirement. The issue came about when we were discussing financing. Rather then ask how I intended to purchase the property, I was again interrogated as to having a preapproval letter. I responded that I did not, I simply wanted to be shown the home, in order to gauge my interest. This woman actually told me without the letter, Carl's schedule was too aggressive for him to allot the time. Really? Has the housing market improved so dramatically that they can offend a potential buyer? I'm certain the owner of this property doesn't think so, as its been listed for nearly 6 months. As I intend to pay cash for this second home, perhaps the listing agent should have considered to ask if the financing letter was even relevant. Considering the lack of follow through returning calls, the rude, elitist attitude of the staff, and the fact that such a well maintained home at a reasonable price hasn't been sold in 6 months indicates to me that I would steer far clear of these incompetents. I wouldn't hire them to wash my car with any confidence that it would be returned clean and without damage.  More Less
