Sold a home in 2014 in North City, Del Mar, CA 92014.
My ex and I were splitting up and needed to sell the house we owned together. It was an acrimonious situation, to put it mildly, and we had already vetoed each other's default choices of a realtor to represent us. We needed to sell quickly, however, because I had already moved and needed to get out from under the mortgage, which I was paying in full. So we needed someone who could get the job done while treading carefully in a potential minefield.
We ended up interviewing four candidates (individuals and teams). During Shannon's interview, she skillfully defused a completely unacceptable situation that my ex was pushing for, and by the end, it was down to her and one other candidate. Because my ex had a few reservations about the other person, that tipped the scales in Shannon's favor, and I'm so glad we chose her. (It was one of the few things we agreed on over the next few months.)
Shannon not only was completely on top of the changing market in our neighborhood but seemed to know exactly how to approach the sale to get top dollar. She gave us sound advice about what in the house needed a facelift and what didn't matter, and the listing hit the market about two weeks after we signed with her. Her strategy--setting a low listing price to attract multiple offers--proved effective, and we had seven offers.
Throughout escrow, Shannon facilitated everything and proved adept at navigating the back-and-forth between my ex and me--by then we were not communicating. She was an unyielding advocate for our interests in the sale, driving the process forward to get contingencies lifted in a timely manner and close escrow. And she accomplished all that with a smile.
The mutual friend who had recommended her to me (another realtor) had told me she was "outstanding." Based on my experience with her, I couldn't agree more and would recommend her to anyone in need of an experienced, personable, responsive and highly effective realtor.
Bought a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $475K in Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego, CA.
Shannon was recommended to me through a family friend and she ended up being AMAZING. Shannon is very personable and easy to get along with. I was looking for a home for almost 9 months and she stuck with me the entire time. Through the entire process Shannon would be ready at the drop of a hat to go look at any property I was interested in any day of the week. She was always very responsive even if I made a call to her that wasn't between the hours of 9 to 5. Her ability to estimate home values was also dead on. I think she correctly guessed what a given property would go for on at least 3 or 4 properties I put in offers on. She will give you a straight answer on how strong she feels your offer is and your realistic chances of getting a property. She will also be straight with you if what you want is/or isn't within your price range. Overall she is an awesome agent and I would recommend her to anyone looking to buy in San Diego.
Sold a Condo home in 2012 in Carmel Valley, San Diego, CA.
My experience with Shannon Hagan as my seller's agent was very positive. What I appreciate most about Shannon is that she really cares about her clients. From Day 1, she walks you through the process; she makes it easy for you. Shannon is smart, confident, full of energy, articulate, savvy to the real estate market, trends and tools, and has an impressive network of support to make your home selling experience as smooth as possible. Without hesitation, I would recommend Shannon to friends, family and others for their real estate needs.
Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $2.025M in Valley Center, CA.
Shannon sold two large properties of ours, one in 2002, the other in 2013. In both instances Shannon showed her ability to market our properties, emphasizing their uniqueness from other more-or-less comparable homes. Shannon never shied away from going the extra mile--not in the amount of advertising and definitely not in the quality of the presentation.
Where Shannon particularly excelled, however, was in dealing with potential buyers. She was able to distinguish the authentic from the wannabes, and when it came time for negotiations, we always knew that Shannon had our interests foremost in her mind.
Sold a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $500K in Core-Columbia, San Diego, CA.
Shannon helped me sell my downtown San Diego condo. We chose Shannon by searching for top Real Estate agents in San Diego in different publications. During the interview she was professional, clear and helpful.
Her first step was to educate us and prepare the condo for showing. She was very detailed and helpful. She helped us stage the condo, which is a very important step to sell any place.
Shannon marketing preparation is awesome! She hired a professional photographer and another professional video person. She is so detailed that she asked them to take pictures during sunset, night and daytime to show off the best part of the condo. The marketing material she made was great, high quality and very professional.
Shannon did quite a bit of analysis to set the pricie of the condo and set a strategy to get the best value for us. She kept us uptodate with her refinement to the strategy.
One of the best things Shannon did is to work with the buyer agents. This personal marketing helped us sell the condo with the best price possible. I do believe we set a higher price for the neighborhood. The whole process was smooth thanks to Shannon.
Shannon responded promptly to requests, messages, calls and emails. She worked very hard for us. She is also pleasant to work with.
I strongly recommend Shannon. If I need to sell or buy a property, she is going to be the one to help do that.
