Over the past 7 years I have been in the industry I have seen a lot of changes. From a good market where buyers were lucky to have the house they wanted stay on the market long enough for them to look at to today where sellers are put in a situation where they may have to bring money to the table or hope their bank lets them do a short sale; each sale has been rewarding. Handing over the keys to a buyer for them to open their door to their new homes or getting keys from a seller who has sold their house is what drives me to continue my career in Real Estate. I started my career to have extra spending money as I worked full time for the corporate world until one day as I sat at my desk in my office I got a call from a buyer who was crushed her lender said she may not get her dream home after all. I felt helpless as I couldn't just drop what I was doing to help her out. It was that day that I started thinking if I am going to sell Real Estate it needs to be full time so I can provide my buyers and sellers the service they deserve by doing everything I can to make their dream of buying or selling a house a reality. Since then I have helped several buyers and sellers close on homes helping them through the process with them feeling as little stress as possible.
When choosing an agent I think buyers and sellers need to look for an agent that not only can do the job but loves the career they have in Real Estate. Though some transactions may be more challenging than others, an agent who loves what they do will help ensure the transaction closes regardless of the bumps in the road. An agent who is frustrated in today's market may not put forth the effort to help their clients achieve their goal in selling or buying the house. Choose an agent you can trust and count on.
