Thanks Josh, you'r answer helped me validate my thoughts. I am new to the U.S. so I wasn't really sure.I talked to the property manager and she said that it is something the lawyers put in the application form but it doesn't apply. It is still a little weird, I am just going to cross it when I fill application.
I have been looking for an apartment for a while and I found one in zillow. The property manager (the person who showed me the appartment) wants to charge me half a month of a finder's fee. It doesn't sound right because I feel that I found the appartment. I feel that the property manager should charge the finder's fee to the owner of the apartment, since it representing the interest of the landlord and not mine.
