Thanks for viewing my profile on Zillow.  I have been a full time Realtor since 1988.  I was one of the top Realtors in the state of Ohio for a large national real estate organization during the 1990's.  My wife, Mary, and I started Penney Real Estate Company in February of 2001. 

Unlike most of the large real estate companies who gain market share by employing lots of average Realtors, who sell 5-10 homes a year each,  we have gained market share by providing our clients with a much higher level of service who, in turn, refer us to their friends and family members. 

I am more effective because I work harder and invest in my business!  The average days on market for my listings and my list price versus sale price ratio are better than most agents because I have more experience and I am dedicated to success.

Everyone talks about service these days.  But here is the difference:  I have over 26 years of experience selling lots and lots of houses!  I understand our local market, the buying and selling process, and know how much homes are worth. I also understand how important communication is. 

I make keeping my clients informed from start to finish a huge priority.   An informed client is a happy client.  A happy client will refer us to their friends. It's quite simple.   Few things are more annoying to me than having to hunt someone down.  My clients never have to hunt me down!

Also,  unlike most Realtors who handle all aspects of the real estate transaction by themselves and spread themselves thin, I have a fantastic support team. 

BUT... our team works differently than most: 

Many really productive Realtors have several buyer agents and listing managers who they assign their clients to.  Those team members are the ones who work with the buyers and sellers, and the transactions are listed under the team leader's name .  So often times the buyers and sellers don't actually work with the team leader at all! 

I work with ALL of my buyer and seller clients, period. 

My showing agent shows my buyer clients homes, but once a home is identified the buyer works with me directly, and I handle the negotiations and the purchase process. 

Our client service manager helps with our seller clients during the marketing process, but the seller works with me during the negotiation and selling process. 

This way, our buyer and seller clients benefit from working with our group, but I am always the one who oversees the important parts of the buying or selling process, and I work directly with every one of our clients.

Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $175K in Macedonia, OH.

We interviewed several realtors to help us sell our condo and buy a larger home in the area. We decided to work with Will Penney not only because of the number of positive, authentic reviews but also his approach to selling homes. He provided real data about his listings - average days on market, final sale price - as well as broad expertise in key areas we needed - marketing our home, negotiating and financing. Surprisingly, his approach was different than the other realtors. Probably because he doesn't work for a realty company. His name and reputation are his business and he wants to make sure his clients have a top-notch experience.

We sold our home at record speed - got an offer within hours of being on the market. When the offer appeared to go south, Will found another buyer with an even better offer. I'm confident that another realtor would not have been savvy enough to save the sale so that we could move on. Will did so in a day.

We can't say enough about his buying agent, Rebecca. She was so accommodating and patient as we started to look at homes in a 3-4 county area. However, she wasn't just an escort to get us access into these potential listings. She provided level-headed guidance that helped us weed through potential properties to find our next new home.

Today we are making the final move into our new home. It is only fitting to thank Will, Rebecca and their associates for a great experience.

Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $125K in Northfield, OH.

Will was extremely helpful from beginning to end! He helped us identify areas to begin searching for homes that would best be ideal; he took into consideration our work location, areas we are familiar with, and areas that would give us the best value. He was very flexible and worked around our busy work schedules. And considering we are such busy people, he still managed to find time to spend a whole day with us looking at houses. The best thing about Will is that he is super honest, he won't sugar coat anything, he will tell you straight up if he thinks the property you look at is a good value or not. Though this has been a stressful process for us, he had our back the whole time and really worked with the sellers agent to help us as much as possible! We went from potentially losing the house to getting the house for way under what we originally agreed to. Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $150K in Wallhaven, Akron, OH.

We learned about Will through a friend of ours who had multiple experiences with him. We had our house listed with another area Realtor and were dissatisfied with the traffic and the communication we received from her, especially her tone.

Throughout the whole process Will was incredible. We really felt like we were his only clients because of the amazing communication we received from him. Within 30 days of listing the house with Will it was sold. Two weeks after that we purchased a house that exceeded all of our expectations. I really appreciated the fact that Will added in an area that my husband and I were not considering because he understand what we were looking for, perhaps better than we did. If it wasn't for Will being so good at his job, we would still be looking for the right home, or worse yet, we would have settled for something less than ideal.
