Thanks for viewing my profile on Zillow.  I have been a full time Realtor since 1988.  I was one of the top Realtors in the state of Ohio for a large national real estate organization during the 1990's.  My wife, Mary, and I started Penney Real Estate Company in February of 2001.  Unlike many large real estate companies who gain market share by employing lots of average Realtors, we have gained market share by providing our clients with a much higher level of service who, in turn, refer us to their friends and family members.  Everyone talks about service these days.  But here is the difference:  I have over 25 years of experience selling lots and lots of houses!  I understand our local market, the buying and selling process, and know how much homes are worth. I also understand how important communication is.  I make keeping my clients informed from start to finish a huge priority.   An informed client is a happy client.  A happy client will refer us to their friends. It's quite simple.  Also,  unlike most Realtors who handle all aspects of the real estate transaction by themselves and spread themselves thin, I have a fantastic support team.  BUT... our team works differently than most:  Many really productive Realtors have several buyer agents and listing managers who they assign their clients to.  Those team members are the ones who work with the buyers and sellers, and the transactions are listed under the team leader's name .  So often times the buyers and sellers don't actually work with the team leader at all!  I work with ALL of my buyer and seller clients, period.  My showing agent shows my buyer clients homes, but once a home is identified the buyer works with me directly, and I handle the negotiations and the purchase process.  Our client service manager helps with our seller clients during the marketing process, but the seller works with me during the negotiation and selling process.  This way, our buyer and seller clients benefit from working with our group, but I am always the one who oversees the important parts of the buying or selling process, and I work directly with every one of our clients.  Our clients love this, as evidenced by our 5 star rating on Zillow!  We would love to work with you as well, so feel free to call us today.       Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $525K in North Royalton, OH.
      I recently moved from San Francisco to the Cleveland/Akron area. My wife found Will on Zillow and seeing his 5-star rating, we made contact and thus began our relationship.

      My wife, 2yr old and I made a trip to OH just before Thanksgiving ‘13 and Will helped us schedule a dozen houses to see on a Saturday. We began seeing houses and Will’s temperament and personality was quickly, obviously different than any realtor I’d dealt with in that he talks about the houses you see in a buyer’s terms with no sugar coating. I was used to being told how great this house would be for me (I was used to being sold on a property by my agent). Will’s approach was different and he genuinely wanted me to find my right house. As an example of this type of guidance… about our favorite web-found house for that trip, Will’s comment colored his dislike of the curb-appeal of that house (“that house is ugly”). It was this type of familial honesty and genuine desire to see our best interests served that we knew Will was our guy.

      We needed to make another house-searching trip and so made a difficult plan for my 4mo pregnant wife to take the red-eye from CA to OH to see houses and fly home the same day. Will precisely scheduled a 15-house viewing day for her and I was occasionally Skyped in. Will even drove my wife to the airport that evening for her to catch a plane home. We are now living in one of the houses my wife saw that day.

      Will guided us through the offer-making process. We had two houses we’d be happy to live in and he was able to use the leverage of the options to get to the price we wanted to pay and locked it down.

      Will also helped us make other home-buying connections like mortgage lenders and home inspectors and our experience with each of those folks was 5-star as well. Will works with other folks who are excellent at their crafts. As an example, my father was gracious enough to attend the home inspection, while I was in CA. My dad has extensive home building and construction experience and while walking the house with the home inspector that Will had recommended, my Dad was completely impressed with the inspector’s knowledge and thoroughness. Made me feel very good and added to the trust I put in Will.

      Throughout the search and purchase process, we were thousands of miles away. We relied on Will for all our information and we contacted him at all types of odd hours; mostly through text message. And without fail, Will responded to every inquiry immediately and comprehensively.

      Throughout the course of house shopping and buying, Will met a cousin, met my father and each family member had great things to say. My cousin said “I love him,” my dad said “what are you paying that guy that he’s such a warrior for you” (referring to his negotiating with the seller throughout the final walkthrough). A combination of his wit, charm and honesty, I couldn’t have found a better guide, advisor and realtor. My wife has already informed Will very plainly he will be the listing agent on this house when we next move.

      Responsive, knowledgeable, connected, effective, savvy negotiator, observant, warrior-for-his-clients. I experienced 5-star service from a 5-star realtor and am very happy to be writing this review as I sit in my dream home.

      Sold a Single Family home in 2013 in Kent, OH.
      We had listed our house twice before finding Will Penney with no success and with much frustration with our previous realtors. With the help of Will we sold our house and were able to move forward with our lives when we were on the edge of ruining our credit . We had a tricky situation, we had moved out of state with no family or real friends around to help us with the house and a huge decrease in the property value. Will was helpful with everything, even the little details by helping us find a really good person to clean the house. When the weather turned colder he helped us be sure that the pipes didn't freeze and that furnace was working properly. Not only that he gave us sound advice every step of the way on how to price the house and what should be done. When we were given an offer that was too low he fought with us to insure that we got all we could by using his knowledge of the area to negotiate. I found him on Zillow by his reviews and I would suggest you use him and his team if you are looking for someone to help you sell your home.
