And to think some people choose between HD and Lowe's depending on if they're a Tony Stewart or Jimmie Johnson fan. LOL Great inputs!!
The prices may not have declined much, but the rate at which homes are selling I think are. My parent's house has been on the market for 1.5 months now and they still haven't had an offer. They and their agent are dumbfounded as to why. They'll be reducing their price this week.

My experience with Home Depot is about a 50-50 good experience. It seems that half the items I buy there I end up having to take back because of defective items (a toilet that I bought brand new and leaked, or broken items I discovered after opening the package). I used them for custom cut blinds and ended up going back about 5 times because the blinds were cut to different sizes than what I asked (I did measure correctly). That was an issue of who I got to cut the blinds. I too have a Lowe's and Home Depot near each other and Home Depot's prices seem to just beat Lowe's prices every time.
