Early Life – Zachary "Zac" Taylor was born in June 1976 to Gary and Lynn Taylor in Houma , Louisiana . His father worked in the oil field as a boat captain and his mother worked as a nurse and substitute teacher throughout most of his young life. He was raised in and around the New Orleans metropolitan area, spending much of his childhood in the rural Lafourche Parrish towns of Cutoff and Galliano.
Zac was the eldest of three children, the only son of his parents. His mother is of Cajun descent and growing up he spent a lot of time with his maternal grandmother who taught him the Cajun language, cooking, and culture. He worked every summer of his high school years as a deckhand on commercial fishing boats of his uncles and father.
Career – After graduating from high school Zac joined the United States Air Force where he served 12 years on active duty. His service took him around the country and to four other continents including four years of continuous service in Europe . During this time he earned a BA from University of Maryland University College and graduated from the Defense Language Institute - Foreign Language Center (Russian) in Monterrey , CA .
His last duty station was Lackland AFB in San Antonio , TX where he left the Air Force in 2006 to become a licensed real estate agent and returned to school to finish his MBA at the University of Phoenix . After working successfully as a real estate investor and Realtor with Century 21 and REMAX for nearly two years, Zac purchased a REMAX franchise and opened his own office in late 2007.
Since entering the profession as a full-time real estate agent Zac has consistently placed in the top 1% among his peers in terms of production and sales for the San Antonio area market. He specializes in residential and commercial real estate sales with the concentration of his business being military relocation focused in Helotes and the northwest suburbs of San Antonio .
Personal Life – Zac and his wife Lori are residents of Helotes , TX and the parents of three sons. They are parishioners of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes and active members of the ACTS Ministry. Zac and Lori are avid football fans, their favorite teams are the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. Other hobbies include fishing, charity work, and spending time with family and friends.
