We feel so fortunate that this private school is a very affordable option for our family since we would never consider sending our kids to the local public schools with the overcrowding weak academics & constant cuts in funding Christ Lutheran is an amazing school that offers an environment rich in academics socialization and spirituality. The administration is top-notch & forward thinking always looking for ways to improve & be a school of the 21st century. The teachers are wonderful well-educated & offer a very nurturing learning environment. Students that need to be challenged academically are given that opportunity & those that may need more assistance are helped in whichever way may benefit them. We appreciate that each student & family is a valued member of the Christ Lutheran School community & always made to feel welcome. So many extra's that many schools do not have are offered here music computer classes Spanish hands-on science sports student council an after-school theater program many field trips and awesome class trips. Also a wonderful Parent-Teacher League open to everyone who would like to invest in making this a better school. So thankful for CLCS!

My oldest child started at Christ Lutheran as a Kindergartner and has thrived under the care of her teachers. She wakes up every day excited to start the day. She loves her teachers her principal and the students at the school. The leadership at the school is top notch and the students who graduate from Christ Lutheran go on and thrive in high school and college. Christ Lutheran believes in educating the whole child and focuses on educating children for life. If you want strong academic standards coupled with caring nurturing and spiritual growth then your search should end here. From the moment you and your family step through the door you are embraced and cared for. They are a small school (only one class per grade with a maximum of 25 in each class) and they have no intention of getting larger. This is to give each student and family individualized attention and care and to ensure that everyone who passes through their doors is a gift and therefore deserves the best possible educational experience provided. Our teachers are here because they believe in what they are doing and they believe in the school. You will not find better.

My older child attended this school from preschool through grade 8. He had a wonderful experience. The highlight of his eighth grade year was the trip to Wahington DC. We value the caring staff and Christian values that are being reinforced. My youngest will graduate from Christ Lutheran in 2015. We will be sad to move on but know that our children were more than adequately prepared for their future.

We live in the Palos Verdes School district but desire to send our child to a small school because they will have their whole life to be among the masses and just be a number. At CLS each child is loved and appreciated for the way God created them. Their academic success is encouraged as well as their spiritual and emotional growth. The teachers are very qualified the staff is friendly and caring and the principal is one of the best we have had the priviledge of encountering.

Christ Lutheran is a school that takes its mssion to heart. They really educate my child in ALL areas not just academics or faith. The art and music classes are wonderful. I love the fact that every child gets a home visit before school starts. The staff and teachers are very caring and the office really works hard to make sure that my questions are answered. This is the best kept seceret on the Penninsula!

I love the Principal. Way to much homework not realistic. Great people working there. If it was not for public schools being dangerous I would sent my son there.

My daughter LOVES this school. She is currently in the preschool and can't wait until she is in the "BIG SCHOOL" She comes home happy and wanting to go back and always seems ready to learn. Teachers seem very caring and loving to my daughter and to the rest of our family. I am so pleased that she is here.

What a wonderful school! My child was a student at Christ Lutheran from K to 8th grade and was way ahead of the other students when he started high school. The school principal and teachers are experienced nurturing and highly credentialed. If you are interested in this school make an appointment to take a campus tour and review the curriculum and test scores. I'm glad we took the time to check out this awesome school.

My three children attended Christ Lutheran School from kindergarten through 8th grade. My husband and I are both extremely satisfied with the educations they received. All three children went on to Bishop Montgomery High School and were very prepared spiritually academically and socially I KNOW that CLS had everything to do with how wonderful our kids have done in school as well as in life. I would highly recommend this school to anyone interested in giving their child an excellent Christian education.

Christ Lutheran has wonderful teachers and a caring staff. The current principal is great and really cares for the kids. The curric is good and they teach morals and values. I also like the safe-clean environment. Small school with a family like atmosphere.

This school has been wonderful for my daughter for the past 3 yrs. I would highly recommend this school. They have a wonderful academic program. The entire school is above every grade level in every area according to the ITBS scores. I know many students who have gone to CLS and graduated have gone ahead to high school very well prepared and according to them more prepared than their non CLS counterparts. The teachers are outstanding. The student /teacher ratio is good. The play ground and field is nice and enjoyed during the year for many different family activities. There is a sense of community at this school. Fundraising is at every school. Non issue. The pricing is a little more than some of the local Catholic Schools but in my opinion you get what you pay for and the difference is visable. AWESOME!!!

Good school good community. Just be ready to open your wallet several times a week for charity and extras. LOTS of extras. The Christian 'right' message is strong and dogmatic but expected given that it's a Christian school. The positive focus of the teachers and parents enable kids to focus on education and mutual respect of each other.

I have been part of the Christ Lutheran School for 11 years. My oldest daughter who is now a junior in high school attended here K-8. I currently have a 6th grader attending here. I love this school for the Christ centered education loving well qualified teachers and amazing office staff. This school is a gift to our family and community. I HIGHLY recommend it for your child!

This school sorely did not live up to our expectations. The ad hoc nature of the school programs left us desiring a school with more structure. We pulled our child out and enrolled her elsewhere after several bad experiences. We felt that there were poor/insufficient policies in place dealing with communication staff training and the before/after child care program. This school appears to only want perfect children; ie. 100% attention to teachers in class no misbehaving or fooling around plays nicely with other children quiet studious. If your child does not fit this mold then this school is not for you.

This is our second year at Christ Lutheran. I have 8th 4th & 3rd graders. I am so happy with the principal staff and other families at this school. My son in going on to highschool with some great knowledge and wonderful memories. This school puts all the money you invest right back into thier school. We are so blessed to have found such a perfect fit for our children's education and future growth...Go Chargers!

I love this school! It feels like a home away from home. The staff cares for my children and our family. The academics are strong and they keep adding new activities and programs.

If you want a safe and nurturing environment for your child this is the school for you. My child has attended this school for four years. I work in the education system and I sadly have to admit that the curriculum in the elementary grades is not very rigorous. I'm hopeful that the new principal will change this--we have already begun to see some good changes occuring.

We currently have a Kindergarten student in this school and we are very happy. Wonderful teachers good curriculum and nurturing environment. It is true that there are constant fundraisers here but my understanding from friends with kids in local public schools is that they have the same dilemma. We will keep our child here and send our younger kids here when the time comes.
