The principal Mr.Perez is active all day at the school. He has many forms of reaching out to parents and encourages students to do their best. The test scores have improved over the years that he has been principal and are very good compared to other redwood city schools.

Our son was at Hawes from 1st to 3rd Grade and we moved him to a different school and now homeschooling. All his teachers were great and thankful to all of them including the principal.

My daughter went to this school for 2 years until we had to move her since we moved out of the area. I would have kept her in Hawes until she went to middle school otherwise. The teachers and support staff are hands on and involved. I support this school right down to the crossing guards!
