I offered my children a Catholic school education at my expense for their children. My church is extremely important to me. I do not attend St Pius X but my spouse and I attend another Church. My grandson has had issue after issue at this school. There has been a total lack of understanding or willingness to work with the child. With the cost of tuition one would expect a lot more that we are receiving. I would not recommend this school nor it staff. My grandson will be attending public school the balance of this year and next year. I am a disappointed grandparent.

I am a parent of two children at Saint Pius. One in 1st grade and one in 3rd grade. I am so glad I came across this site today and have read some of the reviews. I cannot praise Saint Pius enough. The principle has been at the school since my oldest started "K". He has been wonderful along with the other staff. I have a child with sensory needs. The teachers have taken the time to understand his particular issues and how best he responds. Not only are my kids excelling academically but also learning faith self development structure and the importance of being apart of a community. My kids look forward to going to school everyday.

My son just turned 3 in Aug and has never been in a classroom setting. He was the youngest in a classroom of 3-4 year olds. He was so excited for school and seemed fine when I left. When I returned to pick him up I was asked to fill out a form I had already filled out. While I was completing the form one of the teachers asked me if he had ever been in school how old he was and preceded to tell me "that explains" it when I told her he was 3 and had never been in school. They told me he had been a challenge. After his second day I received a call from the director Mary. She preceded to go down a whole laundry list of things my child did wrong compared him to the other children told me of their financial burdens he was causing and said that he would get two more days. If he was not able to get it then he would not be able to attend. I was angry heartbroken and absolutely disgusted by their unwillingness to work with a 3yr old. Really 4 days and your out. They should be ashamed of themselves! In conclusion don't send your child here if they are young for their age group and are an active child because they will not work with them. Luckily for me I found another better school.

This is the second year that my daughter has been attending St Pius. This school has been wonderful! It is a nice balance of structure character devleopment academic challenge and fun. There are great teachers at this school! We really like it.

My daughter has been attending St.Pius Preschool for 2 years and our experience has been wonderful. I have had multiple conversations with the directors about their curriculum and I feel very confident that my daughter will be well prepared for kindergarten. When an issue arose with my daughters handwriting (she doesn't hold her pencil the "standard" way) the director immediately contacted the kindergarten teachers at the school we plan to send her to for kindergarten and the issue was resolved. I have been very pleased with our experience and I would highly recommend this school to anyone wanting a quality preschool with amazing staff.

Be very careful about the pre-school. We decided we wanted our son to have a Catholic education and enrolled him in the pre-school program. We started him early so he was in pre-school for 2 years. The cost was significant yet the teaching staff were inept. I would rate the education low quality and it will not prepare your child for the kindergarten qualification test. In fact we were not even told about the test until it was too late to prepare. It was our first child and we were ignorant. Although the pre-school guarantees that your child's pre-school "record" will not be shared with the school they do share it with the purpose of disqualifying "challenging" children. Mu son was one that year. St. Pius is not equipped to deal with issues and my son was asked not to return. The principal in 2009-2010 was arrogant and challenged my wife about not having seen her at church services. It was surreal. I was educated at Christ The King and Hartley in the Columbus Diocese and I am appalled at the way my son and my family were discarded. No one even called us from the parish to help us through that although I reached out to the pastor several times. We trusted them - to our regret.

There are many aspects of the school which are nice. However teachers are not receptive to students with sensory needs. The principal is a figure head and has no say so to improve outdated practices. There is an air of---it's always been this way...let's continue on.
