As a graduating student from carter I enjoyed every moment. The teachers are dedicated to their students and will stay after school for tutoring but it all depends on the student.if the student says nothing and goes home and complains to there parents...well that would just be a wrong prospective of the school.Yes the school isn't in a rich area but I believe that gives students a goal to work twice as hard so that they can live in a better area .There are those few who make us look bad but it doesn't mean we all don't care about education. Education is a gift so why not take it. Carter high school is good as any and as long as the student wants to learn no one will stop them.

Transfered to Carter from Eisenhower as a sophomore fall of 2005 when it opened at was the seconded graduating class spring of 2007. I would never in a million years have my child go to this school and any school in the Rialto School district. This is a ghetto school because of the students attending and the lack of discipline from home. The councilors are a joke and were not helpful at all. The only reason I actually went to 4 year university was because of my relationship with the career center tech which is no longer even there. The teachers only care about you if your in their Honor or AP classes. I had both regular and Honor classes and know the difference they treated the students. The students that attend this school is main reason it is the way it is. They don't care about their own education and keep from others receiving a good education.

The student body has really change the past two years with the new co-principals. We have seen the new adminstration take a new approach toward discipline and high expectation for academic achievement. Carter is quickly becoming a competitive school in the area.

We were not happy with the administration so we move our student. The principle has been rotated several times security issues are not addressed and the quality of education is lacking.

This school does not give support to the teacher when it comes to giving structure to the students. Administration rather have the teachers in danger than to face the parents of the student causing problems. I will never work here again!

I am currently a student at carter. I think the students lack in discipline because they are destruptive and noisy during the class periods. I personally think that teachers should not tolerate their ignorant behaviors and be more strict on the students. I'm very dissapointed because the teachers dont make much of an effort to discipline the students when a class is in session.

As a current student I believe we get a great education. Most of the teachers are always there when needed and we never have too many problems. I take advanced classes the teachers are really prepared. I know from other students that sometimes the classes are too basic and boring because the teachers are required to stick to state standards; students would have more fun and understand things better if the teachers were allowed more liberties.

I believe that in the first year like most schools Carter high School had a couple of issues although after parents addressed there issues to the School Board the School Board responded immediately and addressed the issues we had. I am now proud of Wilmer Amina Carter high School also kudos to Assembly Member Wilmer Amina Carter in the School Board naming the School after her. Assembly Member Carter you are a very well respected woman and leader of not only the city of rialto but surrounding communities.

I am a proud parent of two children attending CHS this year. For the first two years the faculty was very dedicated to the students but I have found this lacking this year. I think this administration needs to start focusing on positive and stop looking for the negitive. There is a need to get the students involved in their school. If a student is involved their parents will get involved. I have felt the door is not open to all parents Just to the select few. I still believe this school can become a great academic facility with top extracurricular activities just look at what a great sports program you have going. Focus on the POSITIVE LIONS! The kids are our greatest accomplishments. The school needs more clubs set up for students to participate in and more activities at the site instead of off campus. LH

My child attended chs in 2005 for a semester I was very disappointed with the kind of kids that were attending the school. I took my child out and attended a school in R.C.

I have one daughter who is a sophomore at Carter. She is enrolled in honors classes and will take IB courses next year. I have found the quality of her teachers to be outstanding. The level of work that is expected of her is nothing short of amazing considering today's public school environment. Her teachers are preparing her for college and for life. Their high expectations will enable her to compete in any educational environment. Her goal is to attend USC and I trust wholeheartedly that Carter High School is developing the skills that she will need to make it in that environment. I find that parent involvement in the area is lacking not because parents are not interested but because so many of us must commute into the city for work. This makes it more difficult to be involved on a daily basis.
