I love the small school atmosphere. You get to know the students and parents in your child's classes. You can contact the teachers when needed either by telephone or via email. Everyone is friendly and my child is learning.

We are a small town in central California. We have a 'dynamic' Principal who has worked hard to improve our school however with the State budget cuts it's very tough. We could use a helping hand.

Mr Laleau is not the best princible 5-6 education is ok but if this school was famous it'd be for it's 7-8th grade education. 8th grade languge arts is awesome even though the teacher can be extremly strict. But the downfall of this school is the after-school activities there arn't any clubs like most schools but overall this school is an o.k school lot's of good kids that arn't very hard to befrind. GREAT 8th and 6th grade teacher!

There have been many improvements in the last few years. The biggest improvements began with Mr. Lake and have continued with Mr. Lalueau. Teacher morale and cooperation have improved markedly. Communication is better and we now have a website to help everyone stay on top of the activities at Riverview. New paint and some window dressing have improved the learning environment and given the school a more inviting appearance. Parents are welcomed at the school and are encouraged to volunteer in numerous capacities. Thanks to the many volunteers who give of their time our sports programs are now up and running. New programs are in the works. All in all I am happy with the changes and am confident that things will continue to inprove.

Seventh and Eighth grade fairly good academically. Fifth and Sixth a bit inconsistent. They eliminated all sports this year (2005-6) - very disappointing. Parental involvement is low and not encouraged much. The social atmosphere for children has gotten better over the past 4-5 years. Discipline better and more consistent although Mr. Wallace the principal that turned this around left before this school year. Music program OK.

Older school poor facilities lack of district funding. Some dedicated teachers some on active retirement. Parental involvement discouraged for anything other than fundraising. Our child required outside tutoring to succeed.
