Went to UCR to see the Science Olympiad this year. Was shocked to see the Science teacher from Gage acting like a bully to another school not only her her husband and her students. It is sad day when you think bullying is taught at home. To see one of our teachers teaching our children how to bully made me wonder who is watching her teach. Gage may be known for winning medal's for this events but at what cost! She made Gage the students look so bad I was ashamed to admit my child attended there and by now winning the medal meant nothing to me. The Principal should contact Miller Science Dept on behalf of Gage and let them know she does not represent the staff or students at Gage!

This school is very excellent. My child has gone to this school for seventh and eighth grade. She has always had great test scores. The teachers are very attentive and focused on student success. I recommend sending your child to Gage.

Gage is a excellent school and very well supervised by the best on campus Supervisors you can ask for while my daughter is at school I have faith that the school is supervised and my child is in good hands everyday. They also have an excellent teaching staff. It is one of the better middle schools in the Riverside area. My daughter is doing great. This is her first year in a public school and I was a little worried about that. The staff at Matthew Gage Middle School has made her fill welcome along with the students. She has homework every night and I think that is wonderful that keeps her focused and has her ready for high school. Her grades have not slip they have gotten better (4.0) you cannot ask for a better teaching staff than the teachers at Matthew Gage Middle School. I recommend this school!

I attended Gage and I was happy with it. I think their is a good falculty in place and I enjoyed coming to school. I do however wish that they had more extra curriculars and I was very dissapointed in the Primtime program. I was also disappointed on the maintence. But other than that I had a good experience.

Gage is a fine school with an involved teaching staff. It is one of the middle schools that pulls in from some of the other less-well performing middle schools in the district.

School is great staff is also okay however faculties are kept in mediocre-at-best condition with bathrooms continuously unsanitary along with poor maintenence on older wings. Otherwise a good school with great PE program and the curriculum is excellent. Lots of programs for parents including PTA various parties and ways for teachers parents staff and students to interact. On a personal scale of 1 to 10 1 = lowest 10 = highest Matthew Gage measures a 7.5

My second child is attending this school. My older daughter a junior in high school also attended this middle school. My son is currently taking all advanced classes. On the average there is at least 5 hours of homework a nite along with complicated and very time consuming projects which he only gets on the average one week to complete. The poor kid can hardly breathe and he's only twelve years old! My daughter had no where near this amount of homework when she was at the same school. Is all this homework supposed to get tests scores up? I don't get it!

My child transferred here half-way thru the year and I must say after hearing how great Riverside schools were I was sadly disappointed. The school counselor did not take the time to introduce a new child entering a school long after everyone else has nor did she take the time to tell my child about any of the extra curricular activities the school has to offer. My child was left to fend for himself like a fish out of water and this is a touchy age for them to approach others. As any parent knows the sooner a child makes friends and gets involved in these activities the better. When I tried to get the information from the administration they gave me that 'look' alot of parents fully understand which means they simply do not have the time to help. I understand they have children with 'real' issues to deal with but they should not ignore the other children. Gage would do well to pay a visit to the nearby school Vista Heights middle school in Moreno Valley. They have figured out a way to have an involved administration a good teaching staff and get all of the kids involved in activities. This makes an exciting atmosphere for learning. Thankfully Gage appears to have an awesome teaching staff. It's just too bad they don't have the balance of the administration needed to really make it a great school.
