California Standards Test (CST)

In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

I have a child in Kindergarten here and a child in 4th grade both Mrs.Cordero and Mrs. Bruner are amazing teachers and have pushed my children's goals for learning further each semester. We are new to Menifee and this is our first year at this school overall the experience has been great.

My kids go here.. This is there first year at quail valley and the leadership here is very poor. Principal has no control of the school. There are multiple fights here with kids and even a recent injury to a student. Principal is always swamped with troubled kids in here office. This school does not beleive in a PTA nor does the principal like any fundraising. Fundraising is good for the school and can fix the water faucets that don't ever work because there is no money to fix them. No money for bus transportation to school or home. This school lacks leadership and is very unorganized.. I do not recommend it !!

My son is in Transitional Kindergarten and his teacher MRS Griffth and her Husband are amazing teachers. Love that the class sizes are small it reassures me My son is getting the attention needed. great school. i could not be any happier.

My Child had attended this school for two years. The staff and teachers are great. I feel that a majority of the students are not meeting the requirements and that the focus is on them and not the children that are doing a little better. My child is not a genius but because they are already at the state requirements that they are not pushed further. I am looking to move because I'd like my child to have more peers at their equal level of education.

I have been a resident of Quail Valley for over 30 years and find this school tto be of such benefit to the community. Staff and administration work very hard to include parents and community in the educational process. A positive asset to the area.

I love Quail Valley Elementary because all the staff members are like family. They are there to teach our children with love and care. They treat our children as if they were their own. I myself am part of that staff. I'm there with the children during their lunch and lunch recess. And just to see their faces with joy and happiness to be at school. That proves that Quail Valley is the best.

The staff really are very warm and caring. They are all highly qualified and are truly involved with the children and their families. It is a true neighborhood school.

I love this school because the staff members truly care about the kids. The school personnel makes you feel very welcome. You can go into any classroom and see that there are high expectations from the students. I also like that my daughter is receiving a team teaching approach for reading.

I truly appreciate the teachers and staff at Quail Valley Elementary School. They are very helpful and friendly. I volunteer twice a week in my children's classroom and I am edified with the teaching skills their teachers apply in the classroom. Great Job!
