My son is a 9th grader at Lennard. We are zoned for East Bay but selected Lennard because it is smaller and seems to have fewer problems with violence. My son swims on the swim team and is doing exceptionally well. We are 100% confident that we made the right decision!

I have had one child already graduate from Lennard and is doing well in college another is graduating this year and the 3rd is a freshman. It has been a great experience because my kids made the most of it in honors AP and getting involved. There are great opportunities (like dual enrollment with HCC right across the street!) for the kids who take advantage of them. It starts with attitude. Have pride in your school ask for help if you need it (free tutoring) and make the most of it.

I am a senior at LHS. I have had an amazing high school career. I must say that I WOULD NOT CHOOSE ANY OTHER SCHOOL IN THE NATION. Lennard High School is HOME.

this school is awful the teacher are not teaching well and the lunch sucks the buses are crowded this school is the worst i have ever been to in history

I attend LHS and I'm going into the 11th grade I don't really think the APs do a good job seeing as from experience they went with what one side said because the person brought in a parent. Not to mention you're not supposed to know who gives them information I guess so you can't harm the person but they questioned their witness with the door open so I could hear everything they said they walked her right past me so I knew who said talked to them. If I was one of those bad kids they could of put that girl in jeopardy by doing that. I'd say some of the teachers are good and I'd give the school an 8.5 just because of the great friends I made. Their lunch sucks! It's a very cheap school all the activities they plan look cheap -____- Thank gosh I'll be leaving it soon and I can wash my hands with the drama.

I love this school. I have 2 kids there. They are both in Honors and AP classes. I think if you child works hard they can get in the good classes and away from the kids that just don't care. My children's teachers are very caring. They are available when ever I need to speak to them. You have to be your child's' advocate. If anything is wrong get them help if needed there are some great programs at Lennard.

i am a 9th grader and i think this school is terrible already because of everything there. the teachers do not teach you anything really because they are on their cell phones or on the internent. the students want to fight you for no reason. there are also alot of racial comments . the lunch room line is horrible and there are never any room to sit at a lunch room table in the cafeteria. and kids do innapropiate things everywhere . as a student here i do not approve this school.

I think Lennard is a great school it has great potential it just need a lot of Sponsor and more parent involvement like any new school.

My daughter just started 9th grade at Lennard. The teachers have been wonderful in helping her to find her way. She has always been Honor and Gifted so I was careful when I looked for a High School but I know I made the right choice. She is happy and doing great!!

I am a student at Lennard high and I think it is a great school. The football team wasn't that great but the school just opened three years ago and we will get better. The softball track and cross country team are amazing. This school has a great atmosphere and everyone is very friendly. More importantly the teachers will do anything to help you succeed in your classes. The new principal is making a big effort to fullfill the big shoes our last pricipal left behind. Overall it is a great school! -Alexis

lennard is over all a great school. education teachers and students are amazing. there are rarley any fights and the percentage of white people is very high. there athletics program is awesome for being a new school. football isnt doing great but their softball and track teams are amazing as well. i am a senior at lennard high school and i wouldnt change schools for anything. my younger sister is looking forward to attend lennard and i will be dissappointed when i leave.

I graduated Lennard last year. Class of 2008. And i agree with the post of Oct. 5. I had attended 5 other high schools and overall Lennard was the best. The teachers were amazing and the staff great too. It really irritates me when people do trash talk the school because it really isnt a bad school. It is the type of school that i will want my kids to attend if i ever have any and i hope that my younger sister and brother will be able to attend there too. As far as only being a 'D' school it is still new and for it only being open for 3 years it is excellent. in fact the state shouldnt have even graded us the first year to begin with.

I disagree I feel as if you exaggerated a LOT and blew things out of porportion. Fights don't happen everyday just occasinolly and it is clear that the student's safety is a big priority to the staff. Also I too am a junior and have attended Lennard both 9th and 10th grade and from my prior expereiences your statement ' teachers would rather play on the internet than actually teach ' shows how oblivious you really are. Every teacher I've ever had always offers some kind of help after school or durring their confrence period and it is very clear that a majority of the teachers care about their students and helping them succseed. There is plenty of teacher- parent envolvement such as confrence night confrence periods emails home phone calls weekly progress reports ect. I guess if your defanition of 'trasy education' is honnors AP classes and soon to be duel enrollment then your ideal school must be superior. Yes were an 'F' school and are currently a 'D' school but we are gradually progressing and you also have to take into consideration that we are a fairly new school and it is almost normal for a new school to start out at a lower point then a school who's been around for 20 yrs and has taken the FCAT numerous times. Lennard IS a great school and I personly like the school the devotion of the staff and the enthusasium of the kids. My only complaint would be the crowed lunch lines... but all in all Lennard is an excellent scholl to attend!

Terrible terrible school. Fights almost everyday teachers would rather play on the internet than actually teach no parent-teacher involvement whatsoever etc. I am a junior now and since this school opened my freshman year the past 2 years have been nothing but trashy education. Last year we had a racially charged fight and the assistant principal ended up getting hurt while trying to break it up. I would not go to this school if there were any other decent schools in the area. Last year we recieved an 'F' rating on our school report card this year we have a 'D' but that is not much better. The day I leave Lennard will be the best day of my life.

So far so good. I have 2 kids attending Lennard HS 9th and 10th grade. They are both doing great academically and are involved in football and cheer. Other than one complaint my daughter had with a foreign language teacher not being very aggressive with her teaching the teachers are great. I think the diversity in this school is great for all that attend. The guidance counselors have been great informative and very helpful. The new HCC campus next door will make it very convenient for dual enrollment.

My son just started in the 9th grade at Lennard HS. I think is a great school so far; moving into a new state I was a little apprehensive but it turned out all my fears were un call for. The teachers are excellent they are very responsive I think my son will have a great time there and for the rest of his school years.
