All my three children have been attending Ethel Phillips since Kindergarten. They have received an excellent education so far. One is in middle school and got straight A's the 4th grader is in honor roll and my second grader has been identified as a GATE student and I chose to leave her at Ethel Phillips. Their success as students is due to the knowledge and dedication the teachers have at Ethel Phillips. Would highly recommend this school.

My daughter is in special education and I honestly feel if your going to work with challenged children then you need to have the skills neccessary. I have found her teacher to be very short with her and totally unexperienced rude and running on her personal feelings rather than what is best for my child. The only thing good I can say about this school is that the principal is very caring and helpful. I feel if he really knew what his staff was up to that he would have them all fired. Some may be asking "so why do you allow your child to continue to go there" my answer is this when dealing with special education IEP programs and so on. It isn't so easy to just have your child removed I have tried. Regardless..Ethel Phillips Elementary definately needs to do some cleaning up to get a decent review from this parent.

Teachers at Ethel Phillips definitely know the standards and if the parents did then we'd be on the same boat! I've worked there for years and am waiting for parents to take over like at Bret Hart or Leonardo de Vinci. Parents are the base of their student's education and should fight for it-especially considering Arnold's plan for education! We are teaching! Are you parenting?

I do not reccommend this school. I've had nothing but problems with the staff. The principal is really nice. But other than that not a good school. Also they do not challenge their students.

This school has its ups and downs. My daughter has been going there for 3 years and has several family members that go there also. She is considered top of her class however at any other school in the area she would score average. Since most of the kids score pretty low she is considered a top student. Not sure if I like that since she is not being challenged
