California Standards Test (CST)

In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

As a student I think this school is life changing and I really mean that. There are only currently as of the (2013-2014) school year 5 teachers on this campus but these teachers all and I mean all car about you. There are some downfalls at this school however. One of the biggest is that there are only mainly core classes. Keep in mind however this is a continuation school and is designed to get you on track and graduating as soon as possible so fun classes such as wood-shop career-tech or Engineering classes aren't available here. For the students I am with all great students here they are all friendly so bullying isn't likely going to happen here. However I recall about 5-6 years ago it was pretty bad where gang affiliation was an all time here but things have changed and is greatly noticeable. For extra-curricular activities McClellan does have the basics. We do have 3 championship trophies! There is also intramural softball available! Overall this school is great. I have also talked to the teachers staff and even our counselor and this school is rapidly progressing. Technology is already implemented and more activities/items are here. It's great!
