This school is awesome. My son just finished first grade today and we could not be happier with his teacher and the staff. The parent community is wonderful as well.

The strawberries were put in the fridge because handing 12 strawberries out to our "closest friends" hurts feelings. Thus placing them in the fridge and asking the student to hand them out after the luncheon encourages us to think of others. There were many volunteers and the berries were most likely accidentally put out at the luncheon. The principal interrupted the luncheon twice announcing the 'missing berries' and quite a deal was made of it by staff and parents. No lack of effort went into finding the 'missing berries'. We are sorry they weren't found however the faculty and parents at Ardmore are wonderful people and tried hard to rectify the situation.
Ardmore is such a caring close-knit community of families & teachers. We could not be happier. Ardmore is a wonderful school. Thanks for another great year!
This school is nothing but drama. I can't blame the children because its learned behavior. My niece was called many racial slurs by the students at this school. On 5th grade graduation day I took a platter of chocolate covered strawberries and cupcakes for my niece class. Well one of the volunteer parents took it and said "I will put it in the refrigerator and give it to your niece to take back to her class". Well it never happened it was stole by one of the parents and the principal didn't really care she brushed it off as if it wasn't her problem. Who steals from children?......Oh the parents at Ardmore.
I love the way the teachers work as a team. I always feel welcome in the school and classroom and the scores the school achieves never ceases to amaze me. And the PTO is the best I've ever seen. The amount of activities they offer at fantastic and ways a hit. This school is well sought out and rightfully so!
My daughter is a kindergartener this year at Ardmore. She loves school and is doing very well so far. I'm extremely impressed by all the caring parents and teachers involved with the PTO -- they are a group of hard working enthusiastic & creative individuals who do so much for the school in terms of socials events for the kids and their families fundraising to support special programs fund field trips purchase playground equipment and supplies and so much more. I had no idea the PTO in my local school was so active. I've already gotten involved with the PTO and have seen how much these parents do behind the scenes. I'm very happy with this school and my community.
I am a new parent at ardmore this year and i am very pleased with the organization of this school compared to the other lakeview school we were coming from and i want to thank everyone for making this a great start to a new situation for us. Thanks ardmore staff and other parents
I am a parent of two elementary students at Ardmore. I grew up in this school district and moved back to the neighborhood when I married. Ardmore is a wonderful elementary school. The teachers are phenominal with the children. They are stern when required to be but you can tell that all of them are there because they are dedicated to their job and they truly want to teach children. Their dedication starts with the principal right to the latchkey staff. It is a very personalized environment. Everyone interacts with the parents and it seems that everyone knows each other and their children. I would not send my children anywhere else.
My mother attended Ardmore the year it opened. My sister and I attended Ardmore. My children now attend Ardmore. Need I say more? My mother sister and I value the education we received. It's nice to talk about the past but I will give you my current opinion. I have 2 children who attend the school. I am very satisfied with the education my children are receiving. They have had spanish since Kindergarten they have art gym health music and a wonderful media center. These extra classes are taught by different teachers for a well rounded educational experience. When I had a problem with a Teacher it was handled quickly and efficiently. The school has technology available to the students and we have had field trips each year. The PTO is active and creates a wonderful social atmosphere both during the school day and after school. Thankyou Ardmore!
I went to this school from K-5. The school alone was great. The teachers I believe could have been better. I did not agree with their teaching tactics. Dicipline in my eyes and my parents was not enforced highly enough. I liked the ice cream socials field day and latchkey programs that were performed.
