A wonderful school the teachers really keep you informed. My senior has already been excepted into a college and given a full ride scholarship. that wouldnt have happened if the teachers were that bad as some of the reviews state. I always recieve info on whats going on in school and oppertunities the children have to participate in things.

terrible.....teachers don't care students don't care admins don't care....There are fights every week the curriculum is comprehensible for a dog and the staff worries about everything but the necessities of the school.

This school isn't bad at all. Why all the negativity? It's not the teacher's fault that the student is failing. Come on kids you need to hold up your end of the bargain! Teachers & parents do theirs. Overall this is a real good school. We are diverse as well. GO HAWKS!!

Hazelwood Central High School is a very good school the staff and teachers are the best. The problem is the students who are always disrupting class and that dont care about their education. They try to act all tough and start fights smoke weed in the bathrooms and skip classes. I moved to this district in the second grade (I am now in the 10th) from private school because of the good education. My parents and I were really satisfied with my learning and still are. Its up to the student to just block all the negative things out and focus on what they came to school for an education. But I believe if your child is younger and is starting off in elementary school in this district think again. I was comparing what I learned with what my younger brother is learning now and it is completely different. MDS

Hazelhood central is the WORST school in the Country I cant believe Im stuck working here. The kids here are so disrespectful to their elders and have no respect for authority.

I have had a great experience at Hazelwood Central as a parent. The teachers have always been extremely supportive. I could name so many teachers that I have been wonderful. My daugher is able to take Honors classes and AP classes here that are not available at all the other school districts. I am sad to see below that teachers at Hazelwood Central considers this a bad school. I hope they can work with the PTSA to make things better. I know respect starts at home and maybe there are issues at home causing these kids to act up. Please don't give up on the kids. Try working thru the parents to get some support?

If I could give it a minus 10 I would. This is the worst school ever as far as the administration goes. If you need to deal with them good luck. They are rude and incompetent especially the newest staff people.

The curriculum is okay it's just that their disciplinary measures are not really as enforced as much as they should be by their teachers.

you need to give central some slack its not the school itself that needs the help.its the students.majority of the students worry more about their looks being cool or staying in style then getting their education.or it could be the parents.I'm not pointing fingers but if the parents tried to get more involve with their child or the school maybe things will start looking up.as for the teachers some of them cant teach but there are some who can.99% of the teachers there are willing to help the students if the students are willing to first help themselves no ones to blame...its all about the choices you make.but its not the schools fault.the school is trying its hardest to help the kids success.the learning environment however is a difficult place because the students who do want to learn like myself cant due to the fact that there are some students who just act up and waste class time.if anything please change that.

I think the children perform at school the way they perform at home. Most of the homes are single parent homes and that parent works everyday this give the children free time to do and think as they please no guidance. The biggest distraction is computers how many of you monitor their usage? How many of you know what their grades are? How many of you know click they are affiliated with? Well hazelwood central High School is in very good standing with me. I have a daughter there she is a sophmore her job is to go to school prepared to learn my job is to make sure she is prepared. This is not the teachers responsibility so when we make statements about the teacher not doing a 100% job maybe it is our children and ourselves we should check!

The school is ok some of the teachers don't care but a lot of it has to do with the student they have to care about their education.

Hazelwood Central is a TERRIBLE learning environment! The School progressively gets worse every single day. It is a school with alot of PROBLEMS that are ignored for whatever reason.

I am a senior at Central right now and I must say. The school has gotten worse every year. There is soooo much lack of discipline in this school. Honestly today in my Electronics class we were supposed to be taking notes on circuit boards but instead the entire back of the class had an hour-long debate over the upcoming presidential election. We didnt even do anything. Secondly us taxpayers are giving money for more security. OK so what do we do? We buy a desk that people sit at all day and do nothing but watch cameras which are by the way right next to them and then we hire another security guard who sits in a chair all day. After that we buy barricades to stop incoming traffic....but they're always up. All the time. Seriously wtf.
