California Standards Test (CST)

In 2012-2013 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

This school is great! Mr. Elwell the principal is awesome!!! He really does know the kids by name is so helpful and cheerful always around to help the kids...Is it normal for the principal to be outside after school helping kids get to their cars? Because He does!! It's very comforting!! The scores speak for themselves...this school cares about their kids!!! I am so grateful my daughter goes here!

Teachers at this school need more support from administration. Principal is way too arrogant and self absorbed.

Victoria Elementary School is an awesome school. My daughter has attended this school since kindergarten and she is currently in the 5th grade. The teaching staff are a group of wonderful and caring people. They truly have the best interests of our children in mind. The administrative staff are extremely dedicated to the uniqueness of Victoria. We have a very diverse group of students with over 18 different languages spoken at our school. Our school is also a dedicated PeaceBuilders site. Our students practice the PeaceBuilders Pledge faithfully every day and in many ways. Our school also has an active P.T.A. who stays busy bringing assemblies to the school puts on a Book Fair and numerous other activities all for the children. I just can't say enough about Victoria.
