My son started Transitional Kindergarten at Cubberley and our whole family loves it. He has an amazing teacher we love that the class sizes are small and the administrative staff is friendly and helpful!

Cubberley is a wonderful school! The Principal is so warm and loving and the teachers are top-notch. My kids have gone there since Kindergarten and have thrived. The PTA is very active with about one family event each month and funding art and music classes. Overall a terrific school!
What I like about Cubberley is that it is a small school with a big heart. Your children are not just a number and no student falls between the cracks. Everyone from the Principal to Custodians are involved with the students to make sure that each and everyone of them receive the best education that they can. They are not only concerned about their education but very aspect of their lives. These are qualities that you cannot find in bigger school. Cubberley truly believes that it takes a village to raise a child.
My son attends school here the one complaint i have is that the classes are mixed. He is in first grade and his class is mixed with second graders. I feel like the kids aren't getting the proper attention and learning that they deserve. However the staff in primetime is amazing! they are all so sweet and are very patient with all the kids!! Ms.Kathy is a sweetheart!!
We have had kids at Cubberley since 2005. I am very happy with the curriculum the teachers and staff are wonderful with the students. Being a small school the children are all known by name and greeted in the morning by the principal. There is a great core group of parents that is involved with volunteerng and fundraising providing extras such as ArtCorps Running Club and field trips.
my sons school Cubberley has been there for him in so many ways. I would rate this school a 10 out of 10. Rosemary Cruz is an amazing school leader.
I love this school. The principal is amazing she knows all of the kids by first name. As she is standing outside in the front of the school greeting them as the parents drop off their child. They have family movie night which is sponsored by the PTA. They have an awesome Care Cat program that promotes reading & caring for each other in a written way. It's a very close knit school & all the teachers staff & parents are helpful & friendly with each other on a first name basis. I'm so proud that my son has been attending this school since kindergarden.
This school is a real gem. If you looking into schools private or public you need to check out Cubberley. There is no comparison. I am a former PTA President that have had the opportunity to shop around schools; seeing them from the inner workings out. The school has a small population so your child won't get lost in the crowds. The teachers are experienced hands on and care about the kids reaching their full potential. The principal is supportive nurturing and attentive. Her positive behavior influences all staff and students to be better stakeholders. Cubberley parents make the choice to send their children here. These are the parents that are the pillars of our community. You will see these parents involved in every facet of community growth.
I would rate Cubberley Elem with a 5 star as the school always put the childern first. The childern is what our jobs are about and how we can perpare them for the future. I would like to see parents take a better roll in their childs education and let the teachers have the time to make sure that education is at the top of the list so that every child feels as tho they are special. I would like to see that every child is tought the BASIC'S first and Technology second!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cubberley is a GREAT school. Every child know every other child from kinder up to fifth grade. Everyone (teachers staff students and parents) is supportive. I have two students at Cubberley and both are excelling and performing at above grade level. I highly recommend this school.
This school is the best school that you can find in California and this school is so good it's the best you can find.
Both of my children attend Cubberley. One is in the 5th grade and the other is in the 4th grade. Both have attended since kindergarten. The office staff is friendly and well informed. The teachers seem to love what they do and the principal takes a genuine interest in the needs of the children. Sadly because the school is small it has been unfairly effected buy California's budget crisis. I love the fact that it is a small neighborhood school where I recognize most of the other parents and all of the staff.
My oldest daughter went to Cubberley from K-5th and my youngest is in 5th grade and has been there since Kindergarten. All the teachers my girls have had have been awesome. Extremely involved. The current principal is just great. She knows all the kids by name. My only problem is the school starts way too early. All other schools in the area start no earlier than 8 am.
cubberley is a great school.my daughter has been going there for about 6 years and she loves it soooo much. the principal is always involed.I would recamend this school
We've had two children in this school one of whom is now an adult. Our experiences have been extremely positive. The faculty is concerned and engaged and the atmosphere promotes learning and social responsibility. Cubberley gets two thumbs up from me.
I find that Cubberley is a very negative atmosphere with teachers who like their job but are frustrated with othr policies or personal problems our principal is nice but ineffective and the PTO is an absolute joke. I'd never recommend it to anyone.
Cubberley has been a great school for my Daughter however school hours are too early. Ms. Friess was my daughter's kindergarten teacher an she was amazingly interested in my daughter's learning!
Cubberley's teachers and faculty lack the ability to cope with our children nowadays. The school does not allow parents to sporadically check on students in the class when a problem could be occurring.
Cubberley is awesome! My son started this school in 2004. The teachers and faculty are great. Mrs. Cruz is an excellent principal. She knows all the students names. You can even find her out and about during the lunch hour conversing with the kids. ASB and PTO have plenty of fun activities for the school. My children are in the 6 to 6 program which is great. I am very confident that my children are safe when they are dropped off in the mornings. Bottom line. This is a great school!
Cubberley is a great school! I have been a parent of a cubberley student since 2000-01 school year. In that time we have had 2 principals. When we first came to cubberley there was nothing for the kids to really do. Everything was academics academics and more academics. Kids were not allowed to have fun. In fact having fun was frowned upon. In the past year we have added the associated student body which is getting the students more involved in the school. Yes I will agree that there is a lot of homework for the kids to do however they are at school to learn. Go any where else in the district or any other district and the amount of homework will be the same if not more. My youngest is now in 3rd grade. We have 2 more years here and I am looking forward to them.
