    New administration has made efforts to improve student achievement while supporting and encouraging teachers. Horton is located in an economically impacted area. A majority of the students are dealing with trying to learn English cope with poverty and achieve academically. Supporting students with these issues is an on-going mission for the dedicated staff.

    Horton is filled with teachers who are determinded to improve the lives of their students through education.

    Staff-administration disconnect. Troubled school with administration attempting to raise test scores. Some staff not willing to work with new administration.
