i think kimbrough is a great school its cool fun safe and they teach you everything from music to health and i love it because all the teachers are kind respectfull and care about you. and they motivate you to do your work. every month the class with the most students wearing uniform get a pizza party. in music we have had threee teachers and were expecting to get one is great because we do a lot of projects activities and fun stuff.

I've been a visiting teacher at Kimbrough many times in the last four years. Things seem to be getting better and better. It may not be a wealthy neighborhood. The school and staff are welcoming. Student population is comprised of 96% Latino. Fifth graders have music class. Students have p.e. once a week on average. The PTA hold the staff in high regard but I don't know how involved they are since my time is limited there. The school has a few partnerships with businesses. One of the more amazing things is the school began a mandatory in-class breakfast program for all the students. No more 'tummy-aches' or complaints of hunger. This really raised my eyebrows but I figure it was just another indicator of how the administration wants the students to succeed.
